If Phil Scott, a man who has won five gubernatorial elections in a row in Vermont as a Republican (the last with 73% of the vote!!) is barely hanging on…

I enjoy that 90% of Avanti customers on seemingly every train I take don’t seem to have worked out that G, just like U, is an unreserved carriage. About four of us in G, whilst U is full.

Americans talking to Americans in Paris: “our taxi driver told us not to take the metro as it’s dangerous” Perhaps use some logic about why a taxi driver may tell you that!!

Not having a huge amount of faith in the brandmauer when Die Linke are still being lumped in this group by the mainstream centre-right party.

The odds you’d have got the day after the 2024 election on Sunak outlasting Starmer as an MP must have been substantial!

Just very funny the extent that UEFA absolutely despise this man who used to be one of their own. I truly don’t think he has a bigger hater.

No one actually cares that a world leader travels business class on a commercial transatlantic flight, do they? Sure, people may *pretend* to care but, surely(!), no one *actually* cares?!

Those on Instagram (michael.craig96) will be used to the spam but spent four days by myself in Gothenburg at Way out West and had an absolute blast and met some brilliant people and saw some incredible acts. It’s fun to do things alone, sometimes! And you meet new friends! HIGHLIGHTS:

One thing I have learnt about musical festivals in Sweden is that if an artist from an English speaking country whips out a “tack”, or even goes for a “tack så mycket” if they are feeling particularly wild, the crowd lose their mind like they’ve just completed the entire Duolingo course

Walked past a delightful conversation between two men yesterday just outside my flat: “too many lefties around here, man. Fucking weirdos.” I don’t think you can choose to be present in the *southside of Glasgow* and complain about this?!

there is something kind of admirable about the way argentina players sometimes look to the referee absolutely outraged that they, the moral defenders of fair play, just didn't get the decision they wanted.

I am seeing too much pessimism from England fans about their chances tonight. This is not good because: 1) if they lose, no one is that upset 2) if they win, it’s so much worse I think it will be close! England are a much better team imo, it’s just if a hugely partisan crowd/altitude is enough
