Increasingly leaning to the left in my world view. Some of my clothes are older than my work colleagues. Live music, proper beer and good food, enjoyed with family and friends - old and new, makes me happy.

The video starts with a Luton box van disgorging a contingent of paramilitaries dressed, in effect, in identical uniform with balaclava ski masks. NB. The "cpayne.com" on the box van back is actually "jcpayne.com", a commercial vehicle bodybuilders based in Aldridge, West Midlands. Nothing more.

Happy Tariff day. Traditionally celebrated by making things more expensive for consumers and pocketing the difference to give the rich a tax break.

Tories have run out of ideas, trotting out the same party election broadcast they were criticised by the DM for, in springtime - when winter fuel payments are not going to be paid anyway. I suppose it’s better than having Kemi talk down to us. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...

Tories left red-faced over video attacking Labour's winter fuel cuts
The three-and-a-half minute long video shows a series of retirees condemning PM Sir Keir Starmer 's 'horrifying' and 'appalling' decision to slash the energy support.

Rubio and Hegseth have installed this twenty-something DOGE affiliate, Nate Cavanaugh, as acting president of the U.S. Institute of Peace, per filing. Before DOGE took control of USIP, the duly appointed president was George Moose, a career diplomat who first joined the foreign service in 1967.

A 1930s movement wanted to merge the US, Canada and Greenland. Here’s why it has modern resonances
In the 1930s a group sprang up in North America that wanted to merge the US with Canada. Elon Musk’s grandfather was a significant figure.

The move away from the office to home working and fully remote work is a double edged sword. Home life blurs into work life. Colleagues are voices on teams calls. The commute is fantastic and you can get your shopping delivered, boiler fixed and washing done during the day. You don’t have a worklife

There are many things making this disturbing. 1. The capacity and officials prepared to act in this way pre-dates Trump. 2. The officials are out of uniform and are masked/hooded to hide their identities. /1

America sliding even further down the list of 'places to see'. This gives us a real insight into how grim it is in the USA. Now, if you are white and of European ancestry, imagine how much worse the process is if you are not of white European ancestry...

Pandora’s box being opened, a nail in the coffin for food quality, traceability and farming in UK. Because you can doesn’t mean you should. We have very good meat substitutes that use fungal proteins & vegetables, I don’t see the need & I don’t trust it to be controlled www.bbc.com/news/article...
