Increasingly leaning to the left in my world view. Some of my clothes are older than my work colleagues. Live music, proper beer and good food, enjoyed with family and friends - old and new, makes me happy.

In the time before the internet we learned this type of thing round the back of the bike shed or on the back seat of the bus on the way home. Both slices must be buttered, there’s so many reasons for this that you’ll only find out if you do so. What’s beyond strange is only buttering one slice.

How about making other investments more attractive, not increasing tax on 2nd, 3rd, 4th… property ownership. I’m not a second property owner, doing the math today, it just doesn’t stack up, but a few years back it did. It was popular due to poorly performing alternatives for people to invest in.

Don’t give cunts like that your energy. Lost my mother to Alzheimer’s, watched it destroy my Dad (he’s not the same man he used to be) It robbed them of time together they had planned into their retirement. They ended up spending life savings on care. She missed watching her granddaughter grow up.

Go with minced beef and grated mushroom in a shepherds/cottage pie. 250g lean mince with 250g grated mushrooms. Cook the mince with onions until really well browned then add the grated mushroom and cook it until the liquid goes and it’s sizzling. Would also work for lasagne.

Burnham seems to want to achieve a lot of things without having the wherewithal, political will or support to do so. He then backs off and moves to the next topic. He’s a dreamer.

Any questions? There was no salary indication in the advert, what’s the package? What are you looking for? Do you have a range? No, we don’t what are you earning? I’m on £xx, I’m flexible, this is local. Laughs to colleague, good luck with that, it’s more than I’m on. Ok it’s been lovely meeting you

A Bar Owner in The UK Has Built a Faraday Cage to Stop Customers Using Their Phones

Spending it well, achieving value is the other side of the equation (literally). Defence spending in particular is littered with failures, overspend and poor value, yet the measure is the amount spent. Given the pace of change in this sector, procurement needs a shakeup.

Been to plenty of sell out gigs, including ones where fellow attendees are complaining about costs having had to buy on secondary market or back in the old days- ticket touts. There’s also a credibility angle for venues and artists who respect their fan bases (Robert Smith for Example).
030
Michael Taylor @michael103.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
If it stops the secondary market vastly inflating ticket costs, the venue may see punters with more money in their pockets to purchase drinks, food and merchandise.

I used to buy tickets from record stores or ring up the ticket office or venue box office and pay over the phone and they were posted to you. We got our Oasis Knebworth 1996 tickets from a record store in Hatfield. I bought 1990 Cure tickets on the phone, they were posted. Same for Glastonbury 2002.

I’ve had someone bring a brown bag “I tend to puke when I’m nervous” Another needed the toilet on the tour. 40 mins later still in the toilet “are you ok” “yes” One said they had my now wife’s job - interesting when I called them out. One lied so enthusiastically I let them run with it for 30 mins.

Too much polyester to iron, would burn right through. If they were serious about this paramilitary thing they’d invest in better quality clothes made of natural fibres. They’re amateurs in all respects.

It’s very difficult. You invest in one pair of black shorts, a matching top and balaclava thinking you’ll use them once or twice. Next thing you know, captain thugwash has you out every other day and your fascist gear has gone grey from multiple quick wash cycles. Hurrah for the grey shirts.
