A truly heinous man has doxxed the Cornell victim on X and the comments are predictably vile. Based on countless interviews I’ve done with survivors, the trauma they are subjected to for coming forward is oftentimes even worse than the initial trauma they experienced. Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.

Before last year, there were no US measles deaths in a decade, and now we have had 5 deaths in two years. Measles was declared eliminated in the US in 2000, but will lose that status this year. This is an abject failure of public health leadership.
