I made these cookies last night (Heath & chocolate chip). I thought they look pretty ugly, stepkids said they looked good and taste good. Idk if they were being nice, their mom makes them better cookies. My husband liked these but he eats anything! 😂

37 years ago on this day in Estoril, Nigel Mansell had a messy pitstop from the lead in the Portuguese Grand Prix allowing mid-runner Perluigi Martini to lead the race for one lap. The only lap of a race ever led by a Minardi in 20 seasons of GP racing. Happy Minardi Day to all who celebrate!

My stepdaughter wanted to make a gender reveal cake for me. She made the buttercream herself! She forgot to add the “t” in “It’s” but we fixed it. The cake was delicious and so was the frosting! I think she did a great job! ❤️

ER visit number 4 during this pregnancy! This time I got to ride in an ambulance and stay at the hospital overnight while I missed my husband and daughter the whole time. Kidney stones are not fun, stents are not fun especially when baby kicks your bladder. Only have 20 weeks to go. 🫪

No better moment when you accidentally double book yourself and one of your clubs cancels their meeting 😀 …idk what possessed me to believe I can handle 2 church groups right now while 20 weeks pregnant and being a stay at home toddler mom. Some would say the Holy Spirit, I would say pure stupidity!

This pregnancy has been crazy so far! I had really bad nausea, then stomach pain that led to 3 different ER visits, once I was sure I was miscarrying, then I got colds, flus, bronchitis, and now my dr thinks I have sleep apnea so getting a sleep study setup. It’s only been 20 weeks. 🫪

It’s been a tough week. I took my daughter to storytime today, she used to love storytime so much but now it’s too loud and too overwhelming. I think today I’m really getting hit with her diagnosis as our reality. A gift of intelligence always seems to come with a price…I love her so much. #autism

My daughter had a 3rd autism eval today because the first 2 were inconclusive. This is what she was doing right before the assessment….anyway, it turns out she has level 1 autism. I don’t really know what that means yet. I have a ton of decisions to make now regarding services. 🫤

Almost every business in my hometown (franchises and local businesses) have been raising money for a family that lost their 2yr old in a car accident. The mom has broken ribs and the older boy (4yrs old) has 2 broken legs and a broke arm. Local retired contractors built a ramp for him overnight! ❤️

I wrote my first strongly worded complaint email to a media company today regarding a Insta post they made for parents that was literally the most condescending thing I’ve ever seen. I went full “Karen” for the 1st time in my life at 36yrs old. It was cathartic!

My most read book this week! I got a few more chapters of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil in but this dinosaur book I’ve read about 10 times. This kid loves her dinosaurs, sharks, and dragons! We showed her a baby doll once and she said “cute!” and politely put it back on the store shelf.
