Usually I find students need a balance of self-directed discovery and direct instruction, they crave one when the focus is too much on the other…also trust and relationship building is more important than instruction style, IMO

Is the comparison really that off base? I haven’t read the book, but I disagree with the QT’d post about the purpose of the passage, and generally think it’s a waste of time to so ineffectually Fisk a book that, at least from the chosen excerpts, does not seem that objectionable

I’ve been consistently disappointed post-election in what I am interpreting as a conscious deprioritizing of education (excluding 2-K) as a frontier for boat-rocking policy decisions. Not sure why, and I hope it changes over the course of his term, but it hasn’t been encouraging so far
