Finished the index and inserted cross references for Political Nostalgias - Ancient and Medieval Worlds. Now the MS is back with my excellent co-editors for a final look before it's returned to the press and will go to press! 🌟🥳 Excited for the 1st book in a (hopefully) ongoing series to come out.

Unfortunately in the current climate a lot of UK universities are going down to one or zero medievalists too 🫥 Many redundancies happening at present! Though yes I appreciate overall medieval history has a stronger profile in the UK university market

Oh yes absolutely. Just interesting that universities over there may see medieval content as sellable, when over here the prevailing view seems to be that they are not (even when anecdotal data suggests students like and choose premodern modules!).

Woo, R&R article just came back with accept! That's two articles accepted this year (and indeed in the last two months - though they were both written at completely different times), so I am feeling very pleased, given only 20% of my 0.7 contract is given over to research.
