Important to remember today: If ANY Labour MP talks about “respecting” the Supreme Court misjudgement, they are *lying* to you. Parliament can overturn ANY SC decision & the government can amend the Equality Act to include trans people. The SC misjudgement still stands because Labour WANTS it to.

Judicial independence is important. It extends beyond the mere separation of powers to include independence among the judges themselves. We must not allow Supreme Court judges to “set the tone”, nor should lower courts be left to divine their policy views.
