I can't get motivated for work today. I was on vacation for 3 weeks. Everything piled up while I was gone. Doesn't help that I am the only one here. Dysphoria is hitting hard this morning for some reason. I wonder if it is contagious? Here is a not so great selfie.

I think this laundromat is having a bad day. Almost all the machines booted to the login prompt instead of the controller app for the washing machines. Too bad the facility is unmanned, who knows how long it has been this way.

Made some homemade spaghetti sauce and pasta last night. This is my summer sauce, it is super simple fresh sauce. My children don't like it chunky so I have used an immersion blender the past, but it turns the sauce orange 😔. I bought a food mill this year and the sauce came out a beautiful red 😊.

Fresh made linguine noodles covered in a fresh from vine home made pomodoro sauce, with a sprinkle of Parmesan and basil to finish. A slice of French bread off to the side.

It is a children’s version of the bible story of when King Nebuchadnezzer of Babylon built a statue of himself and forced all the hebrews to worship it, but some refused. All the Christians building golden statues of Trump to praise him sure forget bible stories like these rather quickly, but they find time to condemn and harass people Jesus told them to love.

Despite the pictures, I am sitting here massively disappointed at the moment. We were supposed to be well into our 3.month tour of the country, but our truck broke down an hour from home. We have made good memories while we have been waiting to get the truck looked at. Saw an elk and some eagles.

Our camper parked up in the pines on a nice sunny spring day. Just relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.

I have read the Bible, I have never understood these views. The Bible describes the creation of life on this planet. No where does it say it is the only life, and would in fact suggest otherwise given discussions of angles and other life we clearly don't have here.

I have been on a work trip this last week. It has impacted me in unexpected ways. My first day in the office was TDOV and I was nearly struck dump by the nearly dozen pride flags and 4 trans flags (that are always up) adorning the office area. I have never seen that before. 1/2

Way back before I came out I had a shadow of my male self lamenting having to hide. Yesterday, I turned around and caught a glimpse of my shadow, this time overjoyed to see myself.

title: a little history

Before 1980, computers ordered their bytes in different ways.

Around 1980, the Internet started being standardized.

This caused a huge fight over which byte order to use.

The terms "big/little endian" come from that fight: they were coined in an article called "On Holy Wars and a Plea For Peace" which compares the byte order argument to the Big/Little Endians in Gulliver's Travels.

Big endian won that fight, so most network protocols (IPv4, TCP, UDP, etc) are big endian.

But Intel computers were little endian, and in recent years most other computers are too. Some machines like the Xbox 360 are big endian though.

Making fresh spaghetti sauce and pasta for dinner. Pasta dough is chillin in the refrigerator. Tomatoes, onion, garlic, and cheese rind in the pot and starting to smell good. Basil will go in, in a bit when puree the tomatoes. 😋.
