New York State and City have enacted laws that are supposed to protect access to gender-affirming care. However, almost a year after the three big hospital chains ended care for trans youth, nothing has been done by officials to punish the perpetrators and force them to restart services.

i was sexually assaulted as a kid and then many many many times as an adult. it took me a long time to understand what consent is. i thought sex was something you did because you were supposed to. nobody ever taught me otherwise. it is only in recent years that i've discovered how to enjoy it.
