Do we think this change in telehealth coverage for Medicare will really go into effect in 2025? Genuinely asking as someone interviewing for jobs which depend on telehealth to provide care to underserved pts or at institutions who don’t have physical space for more physicians to see patients

💯! But not just a primary care issue. Needed for all patient-facing fields of medicine. With the explosion of volume from patient portal messages, this is not sustainable to be doing this clinical work late at night on personal time - must need to rework clinic templates to allow time for this work.

How to make friends with an endocrine fellow: 1. Never get a TSH without a FT4 level 2. Know the home diabetes regimen before you place the consult 3. An inpatient cortisol level when the patient is already on steroids isn’t helpful

Interesting perspective on MASLD subtypes which may confer differential risk of HCC and profession to cirrhosis in certain patients 🤔 I think might actually be more helpful in monitoring and screening than in treatment
