Bicycles seamlessly weave into the urban landscape, fitting the spaces we already have. Cars just demand we pave over and dominate it.

Both are city vehicles, but... Only one demands minimal space, doesn't threaten lives, and causes zero wear on our roads. Yet the cargo bike has to beg for every single scrap of safe infrastructure, while the massive SUV is just handed the entire city by default.

underrated side effect of grapheneOS as your daily driver: no longer getting the unnerving feeling that ads are being served to you based off something you said out loud while in the presence of your phone.

Naysayers re: biking for transportation in Minneapolis: “This isn’t Amsterdam.” Minneapolis parents: “So what? We’ll make our own version.”

The other parent is riding beside them on an electric bike. Two parents and three kids ride bikes on a protected bike lane. The two older kids are riding their own bikes and the youngest is riding behind one of the parents on an electric bike.

Our River Road correspondent sent these images with the comment "It's not windy." Sure can't tell that from looking at these! Plastic isn't protection - even for itself." Cyclists and pedestrians have been killed in this area.

All the hysteria and rhetoric that consumed a community around these bike lanes ended and now no one talks about them and people use them (including those with mobility devices) all the time for work, school, play and everything in between. Change is hard for some people but we all adapt.

I love to paint brilliantly colored skies like this. They’re one of my most popular subjects. Here in Minnesota – the land of 10,000 lakes – we’re never very far from a view just like this on a warm summer night. SUMMER SUNSET, Acrylic, 16x16” ©2026 Jim Musil

The Dutch have been studying bio-resilient cities for the past decade, protect existing trees in paving projects (often taking car lanes to give #trees more room to grow), and have added 1000s of new trees when improving bike lanes. The result in Utrecht is a cooler, more beautiful city to bike in.

The purpose of these systems is disallowing people from using hardware and software not approved by Apple or Google. This is wrongly presented as being a security feature. Banks and government services are the main ones adopting it but Apple and Google are encouraging every service to use it.

Reading the FUD-o-Tron website! Listing dismissing scare screens as additional steps 😆 Its so desperately reaching to for reasons for paranoia Even uses "google is in control" as a scare tactic. Like google has/will not always have control over their own software❓ Its so transparently an fdroid ad!

Im shocked by the amount of anger built up in so many people online. Many people will just comment most pessimistic or enraged commentary on things. If you are someone who often finds themselves in a pit of negativity like that online, reconnect with your local life irl, have an emotional reset! ♡

Walkable city design is better than US city design in that it: - Is more accessible - Has vastly superior traffic flow - Is more environmentally friendly - Is VASTLY cheaper - Is significantly less ugly - Is scientific - Improves public health - Doesnt give children athsma - Doesnt kill thousands

When people talk about 'trusting' something, that is prescriptively meant to refer to taking an action where responsibility and control over something is given. Like granting permission. Though descriptively, it often refers to the emotion 'faith'. In security context this is technically incorrect

Normally, im against punishing evildoers, because punishing them doesnt undo the evil theyve done, nor does it heal anything. However, if that person is so hated by so many people that the collective's joy from that one being persecuted and punished significantly outweighs... Then the scale tips.

'AI' as the current marketing term is not AI. Stop calling it that. Call them LLMs or Neural Networks (NNs). Artists that call NN degenerated images 'AI art' are only enabling the epstein class in their langauge. Its infuriating.

Every time I see something like the redmagic phones advertised I feel so infuriated. These phones have an EoL of like two years! Theyre ewaste in no time! Though, most users dont think about that. I bet many users of older phones dont even realise how dangerous it is. Its not communicated enough.
