I was listening to commentary about how tech barons want AI-generated art and music so that they could monetize creating it for users on demand (and keep them isolated from culture, of course, as a side benefit). Personalized art already exists! It's called commissioning artists.

Ugh I was losing so I had to give up that last Civ 2 game. I can handle Warlord difficulty (2) but the second I try to move up to Prince (3) it just falls apart. I know that doesn't mean much to people who are normal but I'd really like to try streaming Civ at one point and I need to be good

Dang, yeah, I got to thinking about it and if the error happened all the sudden, surely it wasn't because of something new plugged in. Sorry about that! I heard ASUS and BIOS and jumped to a weird conclusion. I'd unplug and unseat everything I could, video card and all, and see if it boots again.

Look at the back of the PC and make sure there isn't anything plugged into a USB port that has a "BIOS" something label on it. I have an ASUS motherboard myself, and I know one of the ports is special because it's some sorta BIOS flash thing...
