Toxic positivity is pressuring people to look on the bright side. They have to suppress anxiety, anger, sadness, and grief. Healthy support is shielding people from the dark side. You invite them to express their pain, and show them they're not alone and won't feel it forever.

I know it's rough out there, friends, but don't do anyone else's violence for them. What I mean is: take care of yourself and your community, especially if you're part of a target population. Neglecting care, out of fear, anxiety, or despair, is doing the oppressor's work for them.

We do not currently live in a democracy in the US, this is demonstrably true, so I don't really understand why people pretend to be so scared of having a simple, centralized gov that has a shared understanding of human rights and providing needs like shelter, food, basic goods, heathcare, etc.

My co worker got her phone stolen a few weeks ago. We had camera footage and the location of the phone bc of find my iPhone and the police also shrugged it off. Her and her 21 year old friend followed the guy to a Walmart and confronted him with Walmart security to get it back. Police are useless.

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.
