Ticketmaster isn’t even worth getting pissy over anymore. We all know it sucks. Tickets will show up closer to NYE guys, they always do, just relax you’re doing fine

@aburtch If you’re not already familiar with Nathan Fielder, I recommend watching the first episode of The Rehearsal, or a few eps of Nathan For You at the very least.

@aburtch It would definitely be helpful to have an understanding of it. Watching The Dropout is highly recommended. Also the story is really wild.

You Can See Everything is a masterpiece of filmmaking. Might become the first documentary ever to win Best Picture. Go see it at a theater with an audience. The “what the fuck are we watching” vibes are off the charts.

...In the main concourse, there is ONE place to get food. Lots of bars, but only one food spot. So you can guess what that line looked like. There were signs directing people to an area behind the lawn where there were food trucks, but once again you're sending the entire venue to one place to […]

They had a lot of great ideas for this place. None of them were well executed. It's not awful once you are in your seat and watching the show. It's very small. We had great seats and were close to the stage. But they really did not think things through when designing this place. 1. Too small […]

@chopaganda.bsky.social Arenas were a very poor choice for this tour, as ticket sales in most markets are showing. He would have been much better off playing large theaters for multiple nights or minor league hockey arenas where available.

Seeing domi and JDBeck. I have never heard of them before, an hour ago, when my friend offered me a free ticket. I still have not listened to any of their music but there’s a lot of cool looking people here, and most of them are younger than me, so I think I’m in a good place

My daughter just started middle school (6-8 grades) and our middle school is huge (3500 kids). She auditioned for Philharmonic Orchestra, which is an extracurricular and made up of the best of the best at the school. We were warned that fewer than 5 sixth graders make it every year. Not only did […]

@DaveG924 Isn't most of it on HBO since they're owned by WB? I've heard talk that the success of this film might be a launching point for essentially a "Looney Tunes Cinematic Universe" which would definitely get it reintroduced to Gen A

I saw Coyote vs. Acme last night. It's really good! Easily the best live action-animation hybrid since Roger Rabbit. The perfect family movie that kids will get, teens won't think is too juvenile for them, and adults will understand the humor and themes that go over the younger ones' heads […]

I live 2.5 miles from the Pentagon (I didn’t live here in 2001, though). Our Neighborhood Dads listserv had a thread today with everyone sharing their 9/11 stories. You don’t hear these as much as you hear NYC stories. Lots of crazy stuff from people who worked there, the capitol, White House […]

@drewphish.bsky.social Also, not to be too much of a nerd, but I think the big difference in Mike on this recording vs now is that so much more of his attack is audible in the mix. It's almost like he's the central focus of the mix and everything is EQ'd around him, rather than the modern […]

Related, usually when Phish plays a cover for the first time (or the first time in a long time) they kind of botch it but it gets better the more they play it. The Melt The Guns from Fenway sounds like they've been playing it regularly since the 80s instead of taking 40 years off from including […]

I just listened to the Coral Sky Crosseyed and Painless back to back with the version from MSG this summer. I think if. you played these for someone who is not a Phish fan but has good ears they wouldn't be able to tell you which one was played 30 years ago and which one was played 6 weeks ago.

Had a fantastic night at Wolf Trap last night with TTB. Their set was rocking, most of the orchestra front of the orchestra was on their feet for the majority of the night, song selection was on point. This is WILD. If you know anything about Bob Dylan, you know that he doesn't hang out, he doesn't connect with other people. He's elusive. Artists have done entire tours opening up for him and not seen him at all other than watching him play his set. I've heard other musicians praise Billy in […]
