Funny how the people of Virginia had to vote on whether to approve gerrymandering in favor of Democrats or not, did, and then gets denied by Republicans. Yet in Tennessee, there was no vote amongst the people, just their Senate, and it gets redrawn within a day. Democracy my ass.

It's absurd that a podcast about gender affirming care for trans youth failed to include a single interview of a current trans youth. And yet, this was considered pulitzer worthy. They were missing the entire subject of the story. Trans people are always spoken about but never spoken to.

Trans Day of Visibility always makes me feel really down every year for exactly these reasons. I feel like the target on my back gets so much bigger. Especially because so many awful bills get signed into law on that day as an act of cruelty (and sometimes SCOTUS decisions drop too).
