🚨 Oh wow. Calling the side of the world where it's still dark. Look up!! Look up!! The mega sun burp has arrived 😮 #AuroraAlert Notes: Get far away from streetlights & look for a silvery shimmer in the sky. Prop your smartphone up on a wall to take a long exposure & reveal the colours. 🤩 🔭🧪

Amazing news! First certified dark sky airport in Jackson Hole. Now if one airport can do it, surely they all can? Let’s turn those lights down and our eyes to the skies 🌌

Thrilled to officially share the news that Mayo Dark Sky Park at Wild Nephin National Park is the proud recipient of International Dark Sky Place of the Year award. It means a great deal considering there are now over 200 dark sky places around the world! We wish everyone a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wouldn’t it be nice if this major supplier had just one dark sky friendly porch light in stock, considering its proximity to a dark sky park. Just one ☝️ #missingatrick @darkskyireland.bsky.social @mayodarkskies.bsky.social
Display of outdoor lighting in major DIY shop. Most of which cause unnecessary light pollution. No sign of dark sky friendly lighting.

🔊 Exciting news! The 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Scottish #DarkSky Observatory will live again! We were all so upset when it burnt to a cinder back in 2021, but yesterday we bought the land for its new home, deep within the Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park! 🧵1/3 🧪🔭 #astrophotography
