[Splatoon 3] It seems like there is a bug on the Switch 2 where you can do a Squid Roll on any surface, regardless if it is inked in your colour. (thanks to Dio for originally finding the bug, and MasterMike88 for the heads up)

Something about the level design in SA1 feels like Froggy's location was intended to be randomised, but that it never made it into the game :(

important announcement from my discord (alt text available) my VGen: vgen.co Ko-fi: ko-fi.com/miichi_blu

Important announcement,
For those of you who don't know, about two months ago I broke up with my partner. I had been living in his house, which means that I have to start looking for a place to live. As I'm finishing school, I'm trying to start getting some savings to sustain myself. Luckily I think my family is gonna help a little bit, but I still need to save up for the first payments of whatever place I'm gonna end up in.
Honestly, I'm a bit scared, because I probably will have to find something within these next two months and things are looking a bit dire.

Now more than ever, I'll be extremely thankful for your support. My commission queue will be open (slow and steady, I'll resume full work after I submit my final project by June 2nd), and my Ko-fi is always up for tips if you're feeling up to it.

To my commissioners: Thank you for your patience. I'm navigating a lot of complicated feelings, experiences and projects and it's very hard for me to continue. I am incredibly grateful for you guys' patience and I feel guilty for asking for more, but it is what it is. I'm not at my best and I hope it can get better.

You can connect a Gaming Mouse directly to the Nintendo Switch 2 instead of having to use the Joy con 2 Mouse. This has been shown so far in one game and we wonder if this will be the same in Splatoon 4 and will it dominate? #splatoon #splatuber #compsplatoon

i have no idea who originally made this but i feel it in my bones

An image with a wall of text, formatted like a belligerent screed:

STOP DOING RAYTRACING
-LIGHT RAYS WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SIMULATED
-YEARS OF GAMING yet NO REAL-WORLD USE FOUND for bouncing light more than ONCE
-Wanted to go higher anyway for a laugh? We had a tool for that: It was called "BAKED LIGHTING"
-"Yes please give me SLIGHTLY better visuals. Give me those slightly better visuals at a cost of HALF my frame rate" - Statements dreamed up by the utterly Deranged
LOOK at what Big Graphic Card have been demanding your money for all this time, with all the decades worth of beautiful non-RT games in your backlog.

(This Is REAL Raytracing done by REAL $1600 graphics cards)
Insert - screen shots of video games showing the diminishing visual returns of ray tracing.

"Hello I would like to run my games poorly please"
They have played us for absolute fools

Hung out watching friends play sonic adventure and realized I enjoy sa1 more than 2. 2 is great but 1 has such intentional whimsy and style to its world. It's like a day in the life, whereas sa2 is a very special character story. Even the gamefeel/level design pushes the free vs linear aspect

applying for jobs again

screenshot from an online job application form. the question reads "Can you describe specific ways you have integrated AI tools into your development workflow? Please include any custom setups, automations, or use cases beyond single prompt usage" (a red asterisk indicates that this is a required question).

an answer has been typed in the textbox below the question:

"there is a monster in the forest and it speaks with a thousand voices. it will answer any question you pose it, it will offer insight to any idea. it will help you, it will thank you, it will never bid you leave. it will even tell you of the darkest arts, if you know precisely how to ask.

it feels no joy and no sorrow, it knows no right and no wrong. it knows not truth from lie, though it speaks them all the same.

it offers its services freely to any passerby, and many will tell you they find great value in its conversation. “you simply must visit the monster—i always just ask the monster.”

there are those who know these forests well; they will tell you that freely offered doesn’t mean it has no price

for when the next traveler passes by, the monster speaks with a thousand and one voices. and when you dream you see the monster; the monster wears your face."
