also figuring out who the players were on the American Dreams was fun (some obvious, some not so like Lefty O'Doul!)

man this really takes me back. My brother and I made teams based at first on the current (at the time obvs) MLB teams, but then would go back and create all-time franchise teams. It's one of the reasons I fell in love with the history of the game. I just wanted to build a great all-time team

today was one of those days where I feel sorry for people who don't follow sports. Ok, so pretty much everyday that's the case, but today was one of those great examples of why

The first batter Jacob Misiorowski faced this season was Chase Meidroth and Chase Meidroth took him deep. Shane Smith started that game for the White Sox. Austin Hays, Everson Pereira, and Edgar Quero were in the starting lineup. The White Sox lost, 14-2. Feels like a million years ago.

Pete Crow-Armstrong just wrapped up one of the best Cubs seasons ever, and he's not done yet
The 24-year-old MVP favorite put it all together in a 2026 campaign that has the Cubs headed to the playoffs

When i went to IU, we'd get really excited about back-to-back wins (other than the gimmes, but then sometimes we lost the gimmes ... ). Now? That's 20 straight wins. TWENTY! In football!

there are times I'm not surprised a player thinks something, I'm just surprised the player expressed certain thoughts publicly. In the case of Vlad Jr today, I can't even believe a player would think that

the year is 2035, the Brewers have won the NL Central for the 13th straight year. They continue to own the Cubs. And a large portion of their fan base is still obsessed with needing a salary cap.

Small-market team that hasn’t won a pennant in 28 years: $3.9B Team that hasn’t won a playoff game since Blackberries were a thing: Even more than $3.9B Tell me more about how the people who own baseball teams need to start a labor war and risk a season to keep themselves clothed and fed.

Commissioner Rob Manfred, on behalf of the owners, has insisted a salary cap is the only way to even the playing field, but that's far from true
