The game will take place on Sunday, October 25.
From the press release: The Canadiens’ NHL Heritage Classic uniform draws on multiple design details from throughout the team’s storied jersey history, with the classic red and blue team colors alongside a vintage off-white. For the first time ever, “Les Habitants” appears in the back collar, a nod to the franchise’s iconic nickname, while the loop label features a fleur-de-lis for the province of Québec. The classic CH crest has been redrawn to echo styles of the past and rendered in felt with running-stitch detailing.
This jersey is much closer to their actual jerseys than the jerseys used in the Centennial Classic in Ottawa or the Winter Classic in Boston, the last two outdoor games the team took part in. This is the first of two alternate jerseys the team will unveil this year as all 32 teams will also have a “Hometown Remix” jersey.
