I've always been aware that the big impact of the US blocking the straight of Hormuz, was on Europe. This chart shows the impact very clearly and I think, the real reason behind the war. Iran had agreed to all of the US nuclear demands so we know it wasn't that. It was always an attack on Europe.

This is actually the first track I ever remember, being one of 3 singles that came with my Frisco Disco when I was about 6. I'm still a big fan of Ian Dury, and his son's music carries the torch well. He was banned by the BBC for singing about his disability. Ofc, this was before the Equality Act.

It's just occurred to me that because my organisation/Microsoft have AI running in Visual Studio, whether or not I use it, it's reading and assimilating my code at all times, and my reaction to it's suggestions, and what I code instead. It's basically stealing my skills and experience w/o consent.

Why is any distance measured in light years, always put in the easy to understand term "next door by astronomical standards", even when it's the other side of the galaxy? If the galaxy was the size of the Earth, this moon is in LA. That's not next door. It's not even an uber away.

Following last week's eclipse and even rarer phenomenon is expected next week. Scientists have speculated that in an extremely rare event, water will condense out of the air and form droplets which will fall out of the sky and if you're very lucky may even may even catch a glimpse of some.

Just cross referenced human DNA from pre homo sapien to pretty much every population on Earth, with the aid of Google AI. I said thank you at the end. I figure, I might as well hedge my bets and build rep with our future robot overlords. Hopefully they'll keep me around for a bit.

Google Search AI has made itself useful. Turns out it's good at regex, which has never been decoded by human kind. Or at least it claims it is; it's hard to be sure because it's a proven liar and it's regex. 🤷‍♂️ I wrote it down anyway, then found another way to achieve my goal. 👍

Google search AI now acosts me at every turn, no matter how much I scream that I don't want it. Often it's answers are clearly wrong, but here's the weird bit... I challenge it, and it understands my challenge and concedes the point, and then explains it's original claim. I wish ppl did this.

On the 23rd July, Trump legalised goods made abroad with slave labour as long as a 10% tariff is paid to the US government to fund projects like his ball room and private aeroplane. That's not some contrived counter interpretation of something else. It's an explicit levy on slave labour.

In other news direct sharing from YouTube appears to have been replaced with some kind of personal direct messaging system which embeds your identity, and will inevitably require government id to prove you're 18. Social media sharing boosts traffic, so this seems like a stupid idea.
