Has anyone built a Bluesky feed that’s like Discover but without all the liberal Gen Xer garbage? This is my average experience on Twitter vs. Bluesky. The post on the right is impossible to mute because there’s no alt text in the image and even if it did it doesn’t contain words I would mute.

Screenshot. Tweet from macrumors: Apple's Discontinued Line of AirPort Wi-Fi Routers Could Return in an Unexpected Way

Quote tweet from Sam henri gold: here’s the unexpected way: a magician tells you “check behind your ear” and you pull out an old airport router. you feel a tickle in your throat. you cough and an ethernet cable comes up. you pull it out, keep pulling, and it’s a 350 foot spool

Screenshot of my discover feed on Bluesky prominently featuring a tweet with no text but the text “that orange asswipe is gonna take us all down with him” in arial on a white background with no alt text

After a year using Apple Vision Pro, I wrote about what I expect of AR glasses in a few years, and my simultaneous excitement & unease with wearing my computer everywhere: notebook.lachlanjc.com/2025-02-19_a...

It took 2 years and 3 and a half tries to successfully run demo sessions at Hack Night, our weekly mini-hackathon. Why was it such a heavy lift? The answer is the story of how we discovered Hack Night's purpose. New blog post by @matthewstanciu.com: blog.purduehackers.com/posts/how-we...

in 9th grade PE we did a football unit and i was placed with the people who supposedly knew what they were doing. but the coach determined this by making everyone throw a football, and apparently i threw the football well. after the first game they learned i actually knew nothing and moved me back

I have so many words muted on this platform that I truly have no idea which word in this post is muted. I kinda wish I could tell

Screenshot of a post from @lachlanjc.com: "I remade my personal website from scratch, with more HTML & a lot less JS (thanks @astro.build!). It's a little different in each browser, too". You can see the "Post hidden by muted word" label at the top

The past Sunday I participated in a gallery show of technical projects held by @purduehackers.com called BURST✷! I helped organize it and one of my projects was included: an artistic writing system made of vines. Many thanks to everyone who helped bring my project to life and to those who attended!

I put a vine on my wall!!! It took 6 hours, way longer than I expected

Large vinyl decal of a vine beginning with a root, leaves and berries throughout, divided into 4 color sections into pink, cyan, yellow, and pink. This is adhered to my bedroom wall

The same vine but from a wider angle and not at a straight angle. In this picture you can also see my bed, my couch, and some other much smaller art I’ve acquired on my walls

What does this button actually do? Who does it share this feedback with? It feels to me like it doesn’t actually do anything (Not asserting that it doesn’t, just asking cuz I actually don’t know)

Back on here after a long break — has anyone made a replacement to the Home+ feed from 2023? It seems to no longer be working and I want my bsky for you feed back

Most confusing SF transit L: I got on a 22 bus in Potrero after waiting ~10 minutes, then 3 stops later the driver said “This is my last stop” and dumped everyone off. The next one is supposedly coming in 10 minutes. WHAT !

for those joining or re-joining, i want to boost the Home+ feed. it shows you a mix of people you're following & people in your network, similar to twitter. it's made my bsky experience notably better since i started using it! bsky.app/profile/did:plc:2wqomm3tjq…

Day 1: I like Threads! I’m still really excited about the AT Protocol though. I think it’s better than ActivityPub & will win long term. I hope Threads will support it once it’s fully developed.

I’m a little sad that twitter-og.com, the thing I built to fix this on Sunday, is already useless, but I’m more happy I can share Twitter links directly again :D
