Some pundits tried to blame the 2024 election results on the #MeToo movement having gone "too far." I hope they've been watching the Cornell news and finally realized that the real problem was that the #MeToo movement didn't go far enough.

Here's a neat trick you can do. A little background: Growing up, I adored Woody Allen. I memorized his stand up act. He helped define my identity by showing me how a nerdy little guy like me could fit into the world. With that in mind, watch me say this: Fuck Woody Allen! That's the trick. (1/X)

This is good time to revisit "Poor Boy" by The Regrettes (which was written in response to the Kavanaugh hearings.) The lyric "Silence is the perfect sound / For the man that tried to hold you down" is especially pertinent when you consider the SCALE of the Cornell cover up. youtu.be/Ll8ZKGCBIcE?...

One of my teachers wrote for a soap opera where the staff had a reliable trick: Whenever they needed a ratings boost, they’d “harm the baby.” I think that’s what the networks have been doing with Trump coverage since 2015. Put him on air as much as possible and let him harm the baby.

I regret not including Larry and David Ellison in this MAD Magazine article about oligarchs destroying America. Nobody should be allowed to own a media organization if they don't believe in journalism or commentary.
This is a parody of The Apprentice called "The Oligarch." It appears in the June 2025 issue of MAD Magazine.

A silhouetted figure that appears to be Donald Trump asks Jeff Bezos to show what he did for this week's task of redesigning the American flag. Jeff Bezos holds up his modified version of the flag says "I replaced the stripes with duct tape from the roll I used to gag Washington Post journalists."

In the next panel, Elon Musk says "My flag design represents America after my troop of programmers *fix* all of the countries vital systems." The flag resembles a Nazi flag, but instead of showing a swastika in the center circle, it instead has a "404 Error" message.

In the third panel, Trump asks OpenAI CEO Sam Altman to show what he did for this week's task of redesigning the American flag. Altman holds up his flag says "I used AI to create this entirely original design by stitching together many existing flags." Some of the flags he's quilted together include the flag for Canada, the Slytherin house flag, and the logo for the hardcore punk band Black Flag.

In the final panel, Trump says "Well, you all did a great job of selling your souls. Now it's time to see who will be my new favorite oligarch--and who will accidentally fall out of a boardroom window." In the background, Mark Zuckerberg is indeed falling past the boardroom window. If all of this seems like behaviour more in line with Vladimer Putin's Russia, that may be because Trump is literally a puppet being puppeteered by Putin.

The article was written by Matt Cohen and illustrated by Hermann Mejia.

A lot of great sci-fi films weren't predictive of the real threat we're facing today. The Matrix, T2, and I, Robot are all about man vs. machine. The AI goes rogue. Human villains aren't a factor. The Incredibles was closer to hitting the mark. The real threat is always the rich guy behind the AI.
This is Syndrome. He would like you to believe that the Omnidroid is going to kill us all... and that only he can save us now. But he's the real villain. He's been the real villain this whole time.

The only difference between Buddy Pine and Elon Musk is that Buddy Pine was smart enough to actually invent something. This is the Omnidroid. Yet, it can make decisions on its own... but it's only a threat to the degree that it was created to destroy things.

Divide the number of times a centrist politician posts on Twitter by the number of times they post on Bluesky. That ratio tells you how much more they care about finding common ground with white supremacists than they do about communicating with people who are sick of white supremacists. (1/2)

Here's the new Disney business model: 1. Steal your content with AI. 2. Change you to watch "their" content (that's based on what they stole from you.) 3. Charge advertisers who want to interrupt their slop programming. 4. Refuse to make new episodes of The Muppet Show for some dumb reason?

While I was pumping gas tonight, I thought "Maybe I should just get half a tank now in case the price come down in a few days." Then I had to stop and think about the state of affairs, which is that things are only going to get worse for the foreseeable future.
The display on a gas pump shows that filling up a tank of gas cost $62.26 at a rate of $4.59. It will probably be worse tomorrow. Everything will probably be worse tomorrow because Donald Trump doesn't understand how ANYTHING works. He doesn't understand foreign policy. He doesn't understand wars. He doesn't understand tariffs. He doesn't understand economics. He doesn't understand negotiating. He doesn't understand business. He doesn't understand supply and demand. He doesn't even understand the difference between revenue and profit. His choices are all guided by his base urge to destroy everything that doesn't have his name on it. Then he's going to destroy those things too -- not out of spite, just out of his general incompetence.

I'm proud to say that while *other* media outlets were busy whitewashing Elon Musk's white supremacy, MAD Magazine had the journalistic courage to let me call him a bigot. Twice.
"Free Speeches On The Beaches" appeared in the April 2023 issue of MAD Magazine. The illustrations are by Marc Palm.

The full text reads as follows:

"When the Verified Speeches
Had checks that were blue
It made the Free Speeches
Want blue check marks too.

Their check envy was weird and their logic was flawed
Since the checks were just there to protect them from fraud

Then one day at the beach there arrived a strange gent
Riding in a green car that he didn’t invent
He said 'I’m Elon Musk. Do you crave respect?
Then for just 20 bucks your names will be checked!
No check! New check!
Gold check! Blue check!
All trolls wanting check marks are hereby approved!
Soon 'Elites' will pay me to have theirs removed!'

Despite the fact that he was super rich
Elon’s first day started off with a hitch
His quip that 'Comedy is legal again' spurred
An alarming spike in the use of the 'N Word.'

To make sure no one’s feelings were spared
Elon Musk then loudly declared:
'I do not like when hate speech is suppressed.
Hate speech is free speech which makes it the best.
The meaning of ‘free speech’ from this moment hence is
That you’re free to harass without consequences!
Make slurs against Jews! Make slurs against Blacks!
Make slurs against women – I’ve got you backs!
Next go after the gays and then target the trans folks
When your words lead to violence, say ‘It was just jokes.’
Yes you’re free to bully any minority…
But don’t you ever dare to make fun of ME!
For that grave offense I’ll make sure that you’re banned.
What part of ‘free speech’ do you not understand?'

Yet the press called him names like "vain" and "inept"
So Musk left the Free Speeches with nothing except
The lingering smoke from the money he’d burned
And the sad sad sad stench of the lessons unlearned.
Free Speeches still could not see what was clear from the start
That being worth billions does NOT make you smart."This is a single panel from a one-page parody of The Apprentice called "The Oligarch." The full version can be seen in the MAD Magazine issue #43.

The most important fact about the arch is that Trump is breaking ground BEFORE he has approval to build his new monument to himself. Just like he knocked down the East Wing before he had a finished design for the ballroom. This is how he handles everything. Destroy first, plan second.
This is a post from the New York Times. The blurb says "Breaking News: President Trump is breaking ground on his 250-foot tall triumphal arch near the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, even before a federal review panel has approved the project."

The New York Times is shamelessly using a photo of what the arch is supposed to look like instead of showing a picture of what's actually happening: A big destructive mess is being made.
