A key detail for #MapleRidge advance voting: Under BC law, a YES on the rec referendum only grants borrowing permission: it doesn’t force Council to build. An uncooperative council can stall or downsize projects (like the ice rink) on Day 1. If you vote yes, Council alignment matters just as much.

Had the absolute pleasure to chat with Justin McElroy and Cindy Masuch about Haney Place Mall, its history, its advantages, and ultimately, what ails it. I wanted to plea the case of a space on the rebound. There is hope for this bit of real estate, but plenty of opportunity are left in it.
