My favorite photo from Dragon Con 2026 happened Day 1, and as a result, I failed to take many good cosplay pics for the rest of the weekend! This is my Sewer Family.

Life keeps throwing wrenches at us... literally. A few days ago registered mail for the landlord arrived. He's not been paying his mortgage. So now we're scrambling to figure out housing options. This evening, a weaving pickup truck sent crap flying out of it. We just got these tires in April.

Makers & artists in the EU would have to also comply to sell to other countries within the EU, this whole PPWR has been handled so poorly. I truly hope it blows up in their faces.

The chatter I've seen about this on etsy and reddit is that most makers and artists are simply going to stop selling to EU, this is too much for any maker to bear. The EU has crafted a way to squeeze millions out of giant corporations, while destroying all small independent businesses.

The US is being closed as a market because of the impending 50% tariffs. The EU has become a regulation nightmare for a small 2 person artisan business. I really don't see much future for myself or Northfur right now and I just want to cry.

I'm expected to hire multiple people to act as reps for product safety w/ safety data sheets for latex, paying for recycling ~2kg for cardboard boxes to each EU country, compliance checking that packaging is recyclable & efficiently & then my job acting as a tax collector on behalf of the EU.

Now repeat this for step for all 27 EU countries @ 75 EUR a pop, and I'm spending thousands of Euros for representatives for a handful of EU sales not even able to cover the cost of compliance... all to report that I'm using tissue paper packaging.

Sometimes I fantasize about some suspiciously wealthy furry / winning a lotto to make some sort of furry co-op community estate in a rural area so that I could spend the rest of my life living a modest life making my art with others doing the same. Feels like dreaming is all we have left.

Now the orange turd's 50% tariff will hit me this time, my HTS code is in the list. Last September when I tried to pass along the 35% tariffs to US customers, my orders to the USA dropped ~75%. This time it will be worse. I cannot figure a way out of this cage.
