A feminist 🧵on the Humanitarian Response in #Venezuela Before the earthquakes, 🇻🇪 already had the 2nd highest #MaternalMortality rate in the Americas and the Caribbean. Adding a double #earthquake with over 16,000 injured & thousands displaced necessarily increases the risk of maternal mortality.

Because some Canadians seem unaware, important info about ICE: They have 5 field offices in Canada (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal). ICE have authority under 2016 Preclearance Act to detain people on Canadian soil in "preclearance areas" (e.g. airports & train stations). #cdnpoli
