Thank you Hachette Audio and Karelia & Fay Stetz-Waters for the Audiobook ARC of Taste the Love! 💙📚🌈 Taste the Love is a fun, unique sapphic romance novel that follows two ex-classmates from culinary school. When development ambitions brings Kia into Sullivan's backyard, +
Illustrated cover of Taste the Love by Karelia & Fay Stetz-Waters. Two women sit across from each other at a candlelit restaurant table, smiling warmly as they share a romantic moment. One woman, with light skin and short curly hair, wears a white chef's coat. The other, with dark skin and a natural afro, wears a sleeveless coral top and green skirt. They are feeding each other bites of food with spoons while glasses of rosé and plates of elegant dishes sit between them. The scene is set against a softly lit window framed with lights and lush greenery, evoking a cozy, romantic evening. The title is written in bold pink and white letters at the top, and the authors' names appear in block letters at the bottom.

Thank you so much to Blair Hanson and Page Street Publishing for the ARC of America's Not-So-Sweetheart! Giving this one 5 stars :) 💙📚🌈 Alec, a former reality show contestant still dealing with a villain edit and social media backlash, +
Illustrated cover of America’s Not-So-Sweetheart by Blair Hanson. The title is bold and graphic at the top, with the words “Not-So” handwritten in red between “America’s” and “Sweetheart.” Below, five vertical panels show a series of warm, sunset-hued images: a young man with tousled hair and glasses being gently touched by another man leaning in to kiss him, a silhouette of pine trees, a glowing campfire, a close-up of the same young man looking directly at the viewer with a brooding expression, and a car winding down a forest road in autumn. The bottom of the cover mimics a social media post with icons for a broken heart, comment, share, and bookmark, along with the author’s name in red script: Blair Hanson.

Thank you so much to Chip Pons and Penguin Group Putnam for the ARC of Winging It with You! 💙📚🌈 Winging It with You is a fast-paced and heartwarming romance that kept me turning the pages, even if it didn’t fully deliver in every area. I really enjoyed the character development. +
Illustrated cover of Winging It with You by Chip Pons. Two men stand at the center, one blonde and wearing glasses, the other with dark hair and a beard. They are holding each other affectionately and moving in for a kiss. In the background is a stylized airport runway with a control tower, planes on the ground, and one taking off into a colorful blue and teal sky with clouds. The tagline reads, “Catching flights... and feelings.” A blurb at the top from Hannah Grace, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Icebreaker, says, “Fun, sexy, and overflowing with heart.”

Thank you to Timothy Janovsky and Harlequin for the ARC of Once Upon You and Me! Timothy does it again. I think I'm at a point where I'll read everything he writes because he's so good at coming up with fun, whimsical ideas and turning them into beautiful soft, gay stories. + 🌈💙📚
The illustrated cover of Once Upon You & Me by Timothy Janovsky features two men standing outdoors on a warm, sunny day. One man with a beard and short, light brown hair stands behind the other, gently guiding his arms as he helps him aim a bow and arrow toward a target in the distance. The bearded man wears a red plaid shirt and jeans; the other man has dark hair and wears a navy T-shirt and jeans. They stand on a flower-lined path beneath hanging string lights and trees, with a pink sky overhead. A colorful archery target is set up near a red barn and evergreen trees in the background. The title appears in large white text at the top, with “A Harlequin Novel” written in pink cursive. The author’s name is at the bottom in bold white text. The overall vibe is romantic, cozy, and whimsical.

Thank you Zakiya N. Jamal and HarperCollins Children's Books for the ARC of If We Were a Movie! This fast-paced YA romance with a mystery side plot follows sapphic enemies/academic rivals as they work at a local cinema together over the summer. (Forced proximity, anyone?) +
The cover of If We Were a Movie by Zakiya N. Jamal features an illustration of two young women sitting in a dimly lit movie theater with red seats. The background consists of rows of empty seats and a soft glow from a projector, creating a dreamy atmosphere with floating light particles. The title, IF WE WERE A MOVIE, appears in large, bold, pink capital letters across the top and middle of the cover, slightly transparent so that the scene remains visible behind the text. The author's name, Zakiya N. Jamal, is written in white capital letters at the bottom.

The woman on the left has dark skin, long blue and black braids, and wears a sleeveless purple top. She is holding a bucket of popcorn and is engaged in conversation with the other woman, her expression warm and animated. The woman on the right has a lighter complexion, long dark hair styled in braids, and is wearing a casual gray t-shirt and shorts. She is reclining in her seat, eating popcorn with a relaxed, happy expression. She wears blue sneakers with white soles, and her legs are crossed over the armrest, conveying a sense of comfort and ease. The illustration style is colorful and expressive, capturing a lighthearted and romantic mood.

I'm on an ARC roll, and this time is a lovely novel-in-verse about grief, queerness, and the both helpful and difficult parts of family life. How can a novel written for a middle-grade audience bring me to tears? Thank you to Kate Fussner and HarperCollins for the ARC. +

'"This is the book I didn't know I needed. Fussner deserves a spot in every single middle school classroom." - Andrea Beatriz Arango, author of Newbery Honor-winning Iveliz Explains It All'

On the cover shows two girls standing with each other, locking eyes, on a bridge over a river. There's another girl, partially see-through and tinted blue with glitter and pages swirling around her, with an arm reached out but walking away. She looks loving, bittersweet. In the background is another bridge, a Parisian cluster of buildings, and the Eiffel tower.
