A map for Ahnlisen, the fiction world of Scions and shaodws. It had rivers, cliffs, mountains, snowy north and sandy south with islands. My Self made map for the Scions and Shadows series. But in upcoming books, we're going to be exploring some places not shown here.

“I can’t forgive my parents for what they did.” She pushes away the memories of their glares, their words, their claws slicing down her back.

“And do you deserve forgiveness for what you have done? The crimes you have committed? Should your friends forgive you for not trusting them? For the people you’ve killed?”

“That’s different.”

“How? Because you are ‘damaged’?”

Sari swallows.

“It’s not different. Where do you think your parents learned how to do what they do?”
“From their parents…” Sari says.

“Do you want to continue the cycle or break it?”

“I can’t forgive them.” She crosses her arms; both wanting to run away from this calla who can somehow read her thoughts & wanting to push them over the edge of the butte.
“I’m not telling you to. But you have to forgive yourself for trying to gain their approval. You were a child. But you aren’t anymore. Don’t forgive them, don’t forget what they did. But make a promise to be better in the future & maybe you will find a spark of love in yourself & you can nurture that instead of resentment.”
