Travelled Norway the last days with these two lovers. We did their elopement in forest heavily overgrown with moss. No guest, no artificial noise, no games, colour concepts and seating arrangements. But personal vows, honest tears and happiness. And swords of course. www.sturmsucht.de
A bride and groom stand face to face in profile on a sunlit hillside in Norway, holding their swords crossed between them.

This is a vertical portrait shot by European elopement and wedding photographer Sturmsucht, in the same golden, backlit conditions as the others. The couple stands on a rise, shown from roughly the thighs up, with dark, softly blurred shrubs filling the lower third of the frame.

The bride, on the left, is seen in full profile facing right. She wears a white lace gown with a fitted bodice and a long, flowing skirt and train that streams out behind her to the left, catching the light. Her hair is gathered into an updo with loose strands falling at the nape of her neck, and a delicate jewelled headpiece with a fine chain rests across her hair and forehead. A small tattoo shows on her upper arm.

The groom, on the right, stands in near-profile facing left. He is a bearded man in a pale cream suit jacket worn over a white shirt, with a pin or button at the lapel. He looks directly at the bride with a warm, open expression, and there is a hint of a smile.

The key gesture is in the centre: each holds a long sword upright by the hilt, and the two blades rise vertically side by side, very close together, framing the small gap between the couple's faces. The bride holds hers in both hands at chest height; the groom grips his just below, his hands resting near hers. The blades reach high into the pale sky, running off the top edge of the picture.

Behind them, the sun sets behind a ridge of hills on the left, flooding the scene with warm haze and rim-lighting the couple so that their faces and the edges of her dress glow. The sky is a clear pale blue, softening into gold near the horizon, with rolling hills and a rounded peak receding into the distance on the right.

The mood is intimate and tender rather than grand — the crossed swords read almost like a ceremonial exchange, and the couple's steady eye contact gives the image a quiet, romantic stillness.A couple in wedding clothes stand on a wild hillside at golden hour, each holding a sword.

The photograph by European elopement and wedding photographer Sturmsucht is taken outdoors in Norway, low on a heather-covered slope. In the foreground, filling the bottom third of the frame, reddish-brown and rust-coloured shrubbery is softly out of focus, so the eye is drawn past it up to the two figures.

On the left stands a bride in a white lace wedding gown with a fitted bodice and a long train that pools and trails away down the hillside behind her. She wears a delicate jewelled headpiece in her hair, which is long and light-coloured, and she holds a large two-handed sword in her right hand, the blade angled down toward the ground. A tattoo is visible on her right forearm. She is turned slightly toward the man beside her.

To her right stands the groom, a bearded man in a light beige or cream suit worn with a patterned waistcoat over a white shirt. He rests a sword across his right shoulder, gripping it near the hilt, blade extending behind his head. With his other hand he holds the bride's hand, and he looks off to the right, away from the camera.

Behind them, the sun sits low on the left, just above a ridge of forested hills, and blasts a bright golden light straight into the lens. That light washes the scene in warm haze, flares across the sky, and rim-lights the couple and the tree branches at the top corners of the frame. The sky above is pale blue, with a few soft clouds near the horizon. In the distance on the right, a bare rocky mountain peak rises above the treeline.

The overall mood is romantic, heroic and a little fantastical — a wedding portrait staged like an epic tale.A bride and groom stand facing each other on a wild hillside at sunset during their elopement in Norway, each holding a great sword upright in front of them.

This is a vertical, full-length portrait shot by European elopement and wedding photographer Sturmsucht, outdoors in warm backlight. The two figures stand roughly in the centre of the frame, from about the knees up, with the foreground shrubbery in soft focus across the bottom of the image.

The bride, on the left, wears a white lace gown with a deep V-neckline and a long, sheer train that sweeps away to the left behind her. Her hair is gathered back, and a fine jewelled circlet rests across her forehead. Tattoos are visible on both her forearms. She grips her sword with both hands near the hilt, the blade rising vertically so that it passes directly in front of her face, its tip reaching almost to the top of the frame. She turns her head toward the man beside her.

The groom, on the right, is a bearded man in a light beige or oatmeal-coloured suit jacket with a patterned waistcoat beneath. He holds his sword the same way — both hands closed around the hilt, the blade standing vertically in front of his face and reaching high above his head. He meets the bride's gaze, and both wear calm, serious, almost ceremonial expressions.

Because the low sun sits behind them, on the left, the couple is mostly in shadow — their features, the folds of her dress and the weave of his suit read as soft, warm silhouettes edged with light. A faint lens flare glints low between them. Behind them, wooded hills and a rocky ridge recede into haze, and the sky above is a pale, clear blue with a few faint clouds near the horizon.

The composition is strikingly symmetrical and heraldic: two upright swords framing the pair like a mirrored crest. The mood is solemn, romantic and mythic — a wedding portrait composed like a scene from legend.

Spacer nad Wisłę zajął dłużej niż zazwyczaj, bo trzeba przejść ponad połowę rzeki, żeby dojść do rzeki.
