I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it’s way too easy to influence AI Overviews

Also: GSC is super slow at updating them. Slow-ass caching doesn't make for great reporting honestly.

It's just me or has Data Studio gotten quicker after the re-rebrand? Did they pull the plug on some deadweights on the bakend?

Freelancers, what’s stopping you from forming a bigger company? A) I’m happy working solo B) I don’t have enough business to justify it C) I’m working on it, not ready yet For me it was a natural step going from solo freelance to my first agency. It’s not for everyone. You?

D) I actually tried to onboard a junior figure to manage routine tasks and eventually learn and grow, but it didn't work. Then came LLMs and everything changed. Now routine boring tasks are offloaded to LLMs with proper QA, at a fraction of the cost. I personally feel bad for juniors, but hey.

Looker Studio becomes Data Studio...again (not a joke...It is sad that this even needs to be said) Here my take after reading the announcement www.linkedin.com/feed/update/...

The Google Cloud team just officially announced that Looker Studio will now be called...Data Studio...yes, #DataStudio again. And this isn't an April Fool's post appearing on your timeline 10 days la...

Fun fact: when they rebranded to Looker Studio... I actually didn't update the bookmark. Name and domain, they stayed as "Data Studio" and "datastudio.google.com". Somehow, I knew.

I honestly think this is *exactly* the kind of implementation that made the Ads team greenlight all LLMs surfaces as a feature. We all know for sure it's the Ads team that has the last word on these kinds of product launches, since the infamous Dischler-writes-to the-Chrome-team 2019 email.

Basic prompt injection techniques are taken care of by the major models, luckily. But there's always room for harm, after all LLMs are probabilistic machines and the guardrails are never 100% foolproof.

Yes!! That's the spirit behind this small little project: meteo.martinomosna.com I didn't like the local weather report service website, but the forecasts were good and the data were in open formats (and open-licensed too). So I just took the data and built the website for MY personal use.

Vibe coding a website - doesn't have to result in a new SaaS making you millions. Just make & fix the things that annoy you. Make the web you want to find, even if it's just for yourself.

Automating #SEO fields is useful, but without human checks, basic errors slip through: "SEO title", duplicate suffixes, Lorem ipsum, unresolved variables...Post in Italian, but the image makes the point clear 😁 www.linkedin.com/posts/marsel... With @martinomosna.com

I've seen this kind of response only in very dumb, small, local LLMs (and the response usually gets truncated by the token response limit). They're throttling the resources in the background. They do this all the time, without telling the user.

My brain remembers it too, the ratio being: the link isn't normally clickable by a human. But a URL is still a URL and if it's parsed, then it counts as discovered.

Google: this page I found on your site... I'm going to play with it. Drop it out of the index once in a while Also Google: Oh! I'm gonna rank this old-school blatant spam like there's no tomorrow

Stop turning your website into markdown. Meaning lives in structure, hierarchy and context. Flatten it and you don’t make it machine-friendly, you make it meaningless. Yes, AI might fetch your .md file. That’s convenience, not trust, and it won't scale. www.jonoalderson.com/conjecture/m...

A page is more than just a container for words
The latest SEO fad is the idea that websites need a machine-only version. Strip out the layout, remove the “noise”, and hand LLMs a simplified view of your content.

Martino Mosna @martinomosna.com · 23/02/2026
Plus: they're already converting it in .md in their own, private and quality-checked pipelines. Why should LLM platforms just trust YOU?

Martino Mosna @martinomosna.com · 21/02/2026
Yes if you're doing it on the keywords. Definitely not if you're doing it on the SERPs 😇 Yes, you still need to scrape them SERPs...

The debate killer move: arguing that Google does the passage indexing (which basically sits on text chunking NLP techniques) since 2020 at least and basically no one noticed. After this I usually only hear crickets.

Here I go again, crafting yet another way to compare two custom date ranges of Google Search Console within #LookerStudio. I've lost count of how many alternatives I've built... For my latest recipe based on sliders, first tests are promising, especially for short ranges. To be continued.
