In regard to FurAffinity being at risk due to censorship: Furries are now political targets. We are getting namedropped at high levels of government. They know that we are a large, influential, largely queer, community. Fighting for the spaces owned by our community is incredibly important

Real talk for a moment here because this is something a friend mentioned happening to him recently: When someone is happy to show a change they made to their ocs, saying shit like "I like it but I prefer how it was before" is never welcomed. Nobody asked you. The person is happy with their choice.

You want to visit our venue. 🐇❤️ #gpose | #gposers | #viera ````````````` #marsnekoc #oc:mjara

Mjara (they/them) is seen laying atop a bar. They are positioned on the right side of the picture, with an intimate locale in the background. Reds, blacks and golds dominate the scene, and a chandelier and stage lights glow behind them. Indeed, a catwalk stage that is topped with small lights flanking either side, and chairs dot the side for viewers to presumably witness a performance of some kind.

@/whiteassnjor inspired me to take some gposes at the bar in the venue. 🐇❤️ #gpose | #gposers | #viera ````````````` #marsnekoc #oc:mjara

Mjara (they/them) is a pale viera with long, slightly wavy and messy purple hair. They are seen here sitting on the top of a bar, with a case of bottles slightly visible in the background. They sit with one leg tightly crossed over the other, thusly appearing mostly bare.

If you're a fan of a big media property, a really dedicated and invested fan, you have to learn to respond to criticism of that thing in a calm and reasonable manner rather than as a personal attack. In fact, you should learn to do the criticism yourself, without feeling embarrassed for liking it.

There is literally no piece of media in existence that is genuinely flawless, everything you enjoy is worthy of criticism, and if you truly love something, you'll also acknowledge those flaws. By doing so, you increase the chance of new things being made that are even better and address those flaws.

sure it's annoying when fandom behavior cheapens or ruins non-fandom things for you, but i have some good news. you can make 90% of those problems vanish by disengaging with fandom. their apparent omnipresence says less about fandom being powerful and more about your level of participation in fandom
