What I'm saying here is that maybe the 10K donation did not secure the $900 million contract. It is more plausible that some of the firms being shaken down by Salus/Lewandoswki said yes, and some of that $900 million went to Lewandoski. That changes the story from political favoritism to corruption.
Source: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/dhs-contractors-told-white-house-officials-asked-pay-corey-lewandowski-rcna263744

The representative in a follow-up call told the marketing firm owner that this contract would be worth $40 million to $50 million, but that the marketing company would get only $20 million, according to the person familiar with the discussions. The representative would direct the rest to a consulting company tied to Lewandowski, the person said.

“We will make sure the consultant is handled,” the representative said, according to the person familiar with the discussions.

In both cases, the Salus representative made it clear to the marketing firm owner that hiring a Lewandowski-linked consultant was a condition of winning the contract, according to the person familiar with the discussions.

For years, Project 2025 architect Russell Vought has set out to erode our system of checks and balances of power and to concentrate power in the hands of one person: President Trump. Now he’s quietly making it all happen. 🔊 Listen to this episode: propub.li/3TzIyaA
“I don’t want President Trump having to lose a moment of time having fights in the Oval Office about whether something is legal or doable or moral.” - Russell Vought, Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget

President Trump gives out Tom Cotton's cell number over the daylight savings bill.
Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump
Everybody in Arkansas, Tom Cotton, a friend of mine, is holding up a very important Bill. It's called,
"The Sunshine Protection Act" or, "We Don't Want to Change Our Clocks Twice a Year Act." For some reason, Tom is stopping the Bill and, in the Senate, it's very easy to do, it only takes one! It should pass overwhelmingly, in a Bipartisan fashion. So, everyone in Arkansas, a State I love, and won 3 times, the last by by 34 points, tell Tom to, GET IT DONE! It will be appreciated by all. Nobody wants to spend their precious time running all over the place, turning Clocks back twice a year and, having sunshine in the afternoon is better than early in the morning! The PGA TOUR, as an example, needs more Daylight in the afternoon in order to finish their Tournaments. Likewise, regular Golfers, Tennis Players, Hunters and, perhaps most importantly, Farmers who want more Daylight to play or work. See letter from Brian Rolapp, CEO of the PGA TOUR below. 65% PLUS want more sun in the afternoon, Daylight Saving Time (The way it is now!), but 100% don't want to change their Clocks twice a year. They want to, as they say, "LOCK THE CLOCK!" Who doesn't? It's very expensive for our Nation where you have high and dangerous steeples to reach, like on churches and municipal buildings. Almost everybody wants
"The Sunshine Protection Act" to pass, except for Tom Cotton. To the Great People of Arkansas,

For a long time I've wanted a sense of how trump has or hasn't interacted with chatbots (we know he posts a lot of slop sure). And this TIME anecdote about Grok arguably leading Trump into war is just extremely bracing
Since returning to office, Trump has marveled at AI’s capabilities. He is increasingly in thrall to the tech executives courting him. In December 2025, Elon Musk returned to the Oval Office for a clandestine meeting. Trump spent hours asking Grok, Musk’s AI chatbot, questions about his presidency and legacy, according to an official present. At the time, Trump was ordering missile strikes against Venezuelan boats he alleged were smuggling drugs into the U.S. He asked Grok how Venezuelans would react if the U.S. captured Maduro. According to the official present, the chatbot responded that Maduro was a repressive and deeply unpopular dictator and that many Venezuelans would likely celebrate his downfall. After Trump ordered the mission to seize Maduro, the following month, celebrations broke out in the streets. Trump, according to officials, came away thinking Grok was ingenious.
