mario fraioli @mariofraioli.com · 04/06/2026Almost certainly the algorithms and how certain posts achieve virality on the platform. I miss the halcyon days of 2010-2018 running Twitter, and hoped there’d be flashes of that here, but: 1. Reels seem to rule the roost these days; 2. People seem to be addicted to the algorithm-fueled feeds. 220

mario fraioli @mariofraioli.com · 21/05/2026Fact! I partially blame years of working on newspaper and magazine deadlines. (Also probably why I prefer racing 1500m/1 mile versus longer events—less time to f*ck around!) 010
mario fraioli @mariofraioli.com · 21/05/2026Yes! And along those lines, I first posted this to Substack Notes, but what I wrote was too long for Bluesky. It was a fun exercise whittling it down to fit here. 030
mario fraioli @mariofraioli.com · 21/05/2026Went to the library at 2:30 PM to write. Spent a lot of time staring at my screen and scribbling in my notebook. Wife texts me at 3:30, told her I’d be home no later than 4. Then the floodgates opened and words just started spilling out. Got home at 4:15. Don’t always love how my brain works. 230

mario fraioli @mariofraioli.com · 27/04/2026I hadn't heard/seen either of those things reported but yes, both of those seem odd. (And if that info is from the LR forums, forgive me for not frequenting there.) I'd assume there was a lead bike or vehicle? mario fraioli @mariofraioli.com · 26/11/2025Fair point. FWIW, I was/am a fan of the general concept and format of GST. I understand operating at a loss in year 1/2, but the thing that kills me is the money clearly wasn't there to cover expenses, yet they spent like it was. Just poor business practice at best, straight-up deception at worst. 130
