Trump’s obsession with demonizing the Somali community is dangerous and reprehensible. Hate to break it to him: Somali Minnesotans are resilient. We will not let Trump intimidate us. Our neighbors have our back.

As a Minnesotan, it's hard to find the words. This ugly little man has said so many terrible, rage-inducing things, but this is pretty high up there. Our Somali friends and neighbors needs us right now

I will *never* forget the joy of being bounced all over the bed as my then 7yo celebrated Charlie finding the golden ticket. My kids are 16 and 13 now, and we still talk about books we read together, laugh about all the inside jokes. Breaks me to imagine parents choosing to outsource this magic

Do we really need to explain to people that it is really, REALLY important to read to young children? Like, you, personally, need to read to your child - your voice, your face, your hand gestures, your lap, your arms, your closeness. What kind of parent doesn't know this in their bones?

To put this in perspective chestnut trees used to be dominant species in the United States. Billions of trees were killed by fungal blight and now fully grown America chestnuts are functionally extinct. There is no getting them back. Ever. All for a data center. www.gadgetreview.com/one-of-ameri...
