I'm doing my infantry on 25mm and the tanks are on 32mm I've still to paint some larger Tau ware engines that will be on 40's and 50's

Quarter paint scheme at the small scale is baller, I vote for Nova Marines! Tiny toys are best toys

AS i finished today's last unit, I've also just discovered that Vallejo Ghost Grey has been out of production for 2 years! Devastated, it's been my fav light grey for a long time. Hopefully i have enough to finish the project

I really need to re-learn how to take photos of my tiny minis again. 2 weeks to go till the 6mm Tau take the field at a local tourney! #warmongers #paintingwarhammer #nerdlings #warhammer40k #minipainting

They've now had to put up with me talking about every mecha in each box and my opinions, including (Badly but enthusiastically) singing the GaoGaiGar opening

My partner had an amazing surprise for me when I got home today. A beautiful print from @wrenmcdonald.bsky.social Now to find afram and choose which wall is getting jazzed up with some mecha evolution

Another little project finally marked off. I rescued a pile of old RT marines 10 years ago in various states. Over the last few weeks between work calls I've been touching them up and highlighting them with AK pens. Pretty happy with how they've finished up. #paintingwarhammer #nerdlings #oldhammer

Absolutely stunning! The taurox suits them so well!

Mardness @mardness.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

I have a new tiny 6mm tau army to paint for a tourney in a few months. A new 40k 2nd ed Tallarn army that's just arrived on my desk and I still need to tonight of various other projects. But now I'm eyeing off saga! My poor hobby brain is pulled in too many directions

Good luck! If you're hunting restoration pieces @wib.bsky.social cults is the perfect place. It's helped restore my rescued rhino for 2nd ed

Have you thought about the variant chimera turrets from 2nd ed? Chimerro, chimerax & chimedon. Selfishly, I want these for an upcoming talkarn project :D

Been working on my old Rogue Trader marines from 10+ years ago. It's been an excuse to see what i can do with AK pens knocking out touching up these minis between work projects without having to break out the brush and paints. #nerdlings #warhammer #miniaturepainting

Very situational and hard to get a fine line. But I used it to highlight my old SoB rhinos and I feel they came out great I think the pure black is amazing just to do the rims of bases.

Currently as a little pallet cleanser I'm "refreshing" some old Rogue Trader marines i worked on 15 years ago. Trying out the AK pens to see what I can do while sitting on the couch. Old mini on the left. #nerdlings

GREG DAVIES: seems like a kind of a shit task. Everyone just seems like they're going home normally. ALEX HORNE: well before you say that let's have a look at how Odysseus did. cut to panel of AJAX, MENELAUS, AGAMEMNON, and DIOMEDES who are all staring at ODYSSEUS with his head in his hands

Vermeer’s Girl With The Pearl Earring will be shown in Osaka, later this year, and the press conference was as Japanese as you’d expect #Vermeer

I was thinking of classics, but I've been sorely tempted by Victoria miniatures for a long time. Just stuck in that space unsure of which way to lean

This is amazing and looks great for a little pallet cleanser. Keen to print it off and to see what comes next!

I do love my Guard armies in epic. Both Cadians and Barran Siege Masters. But for 28mm I'm honestly thinking Tallarn at this stage.

120

Cheers! I'll finish getting this army to 2k points for 2nd ed then move on to something else. Maybe dive back into my chaos or start the guard army i always wanted when young looking through white dwarf. I'm currently enjoying the small forces and list construction that 2nd ed provides.

120

They honestly did fairly well for themselves and I had a blast! Now rapidly writing more lists for 2nd ed!

120

No no, thankyou! I always feel my hobby is ok, not as amazing as the rest of.the community. So it's amazing to be included!
