'The kind of challenge that is extremely alluring—a harsh, industrial landscape, with heavily distorted synths and chopped up patterns that Ximya works in tandem to amp up a well-curated sense of tension.' Kim Ximya - Dogma buff.ly/CDEZpaU

Kim Ximya - Dogma album cover. A cluster of horses heads that appear to be carved out of a grainy blueish grey material.

I'm getting to the point where there's no point buying new vinyl, especially from the corporates. This is the state of the latest #MilesDavis box set. I've tried 2 copies, one from the UK, the other from Switzerland, both the same. 0 quality control. They just don't give a fuck. #Entshittification

"It took us that long to realize that a purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved." Kurt Vonnegut, Sirens of Titan Pentti Sammallahti, Ristisaari, Finland (Frog) 1974

Black and white photograph of a calm lake and a solitary frog whose head appears above the water looking ahead. In the distance over a clear bank is a full moon or the sun in an overcast sky. The background is blur, serene with the frog appears standing out clearly as the focal point of the scene.

This is something different in a Japanese woodblock. Fumiaki Fukita (b.1926) was head of the Printmaking Department at Tama Art University for many years. His work (using hard woods) has a distinctly modern look. It's title is:Poem Collection in the Morning (Theodor Schelwe Collection at auction).
