Looking at Shout's new solicitations, some good stuff for December. I haven't seen the Mann Miami Vice film, I remember reception being poor, so I was a bit surprised to see how much more popular it's gotten over the years, so I'll be curious to see how people like the new cut.

There was an interesting visual touch during the various end credits stuff that I would be curious to know if the production team did that on purpose, or if it was more akin to a typo or something they didn't notice, as it was a very cute and fun touch.

Solid ending to the IIIrd series, even if it felt very different from how I expected as I mentioned before. The famous story connection... it feels like some of the character elements at play in this movie require some extra fudging to make it work due to how things play out.

Video seemed fine, a bit more banding in a few places than I'd expect, but not wildly different than the OVAs. Audio quality was good. Watched the dub as I'm too used to how we do the subs for Lupin from the OVAs. With so few signs was a bit surprised a few had iffy timing.

Lupin the IIIrd: The Immortal Bloodline An interesting finale to the IIIrd series as a full film after a stack of OVAs. Has a very different feeling to those OVAs, although I'm not quite sure it's connection to a well known Lupin story works as well as they want.

Pani Poni Dash has decent video. It had existing upscales, but they tended to be not great, so sticking with SD seemed the best call for this one. The original Japanese 2.0 audio is here, plus the English 5.1. Along with the (at times) very detailed signs. A few screenshot samples.

Oh, and one thing I forgot to mention, and someone more knowledgeable about the film might know. I assume the US disc is based on the Japanese theatrical version without any home video revisions, like The First? Lupin flipping someone off was pixelated.
