Watching a third Thai BL from a specific production company and I expect that they'll use some of the same actors. That's cool, that's part of the appeal. I get that they want the characters' "looks" to be distinct from the last show. But they have done something truly tragic to N'Pon's hair.

Actor Pon Thanapon Aiemkumchai in character as Sun in The Crow Club, with some deeply tragic hair choices on the part of the costume designers. Yikes.

It's been a while since I've done a Yiddish word of the day, so I don't remember if this is a repeat, but... Today's Yiddish word of the day is bupkis. Literally it means "nothing" but it's used more colloquially to be a little stronger. "He promised me the world, but what did I get? Bupkis!"

I remain super angry about this, because as a DC Metro area resident for much of my life, the KenCen was part of my life. I have so many good memories of seeing shows there! With my parents, my husband, my friends, my kids. And they broke it. Because they hate the arts :(

Yes, this is totally fair. We 100% shouldn't always trust the medical system, which needs to *earn* the trust of women, POC, trans folks, etc. and so on. But we also can't abandon modern medicine and put our trust in quacks with unregulated tinctures. There's a middle ground and we need to find it.

To continue on about teaching my kids to drive...it would be much less stressful if people didn't honk the second we drop below 25 mph (on a park road that has a 25 mph speed limit) and pass us in a no-passing zone. Dude scared tf out of Barak passing us while we were passing a bicyclist!

Is it bad that I find giving my kids driving lessons incredibly stressful? Like, just below panic level. How the hell are we supposed to get 60 hours of driving practice? I can just about handle half an hour if I am having a good day. Of course it would help if other drivers weren't assholes.
