Woke up to the weirdest #iOSDeveloper dream: At the #iPhoneDuo workshop I asked an Apple engineer about a hidden API and they escorted me into a backroom to undergo the #Severance procedure so my "innie" can implement the feature without my "outie" knowing the hidden API 😅

Super cool: In the Apple Developer Group Lab they just confirmed that apps using AlarmKit will also get the "iPhone Duo standing folded like a tent with glowing light fading in as the alarm is about to ring" mode Got a bunch of exciting ideas for @daylish.bsky.social based on this 🤓

Seeing @zenitizer.bsky.social featured this prominently on the App Store is such an honor! 🥹💙 Big thanks to the #AppStore team for this opportunity and to @yanlu.chat for designing such beautiful promo artwork once again 🙏

Zenitizer is ready for #iOS27 with a fresh, fully responsive UI, new extra large widgets and #Siri AI support. This update should be available as soon as iOS 27 is out. In the meantime, you can already get a sneak peek here:

So cool that Ghostty, herder.dev and pi.dev all support the kitty graphics protocol! My agent can render #Xcode previews through MCP and I see the results in real time right in the terminal. Makes iterating over multiple Dynamic Type sizes and polishing the UI super smooth! #iOSDev #herdr
A screenshot showing multiple pi agents running in herdr. The rightmost herdr pane has a Coder Sidekick agent, which is calling Xcode MCP tools to render SwiftUI previews, and they show up in the terminal pane right between the text output. In this particular screen you can see a Zenitizer widget with meditation stats for the last 7 days.

Automatic hotspot (📱⇢💻) is pure Apple magic IMO I am sitting in my car (parked! don't worry 😅) with time to kill, so I pull out my MBP to get some work done. Without even thinking about it, I'm online. Just like that. Small feature but makes such a difference!

If you're an #iOSDev and not already using www.xcodes.app/ do yourselves a favor and install it right now. It is by far the smoothest way to download and manage installed Xcode versions - especially during a hot beta period like this!

Wow, I gotta say that #Cohere Transcribe has completely dethroned Parakeet for multi-lingual dictation for me. It transcribes English and German perfectly and instantly running completely locally on my M1 Max MacBook Pro. Quality and speed you'd only get with cloud models before 🤯

Fighting all day to get @zenitizer.bsky.social to play nicely with #SiriAI. All this worked so well with "Old Siri" via #Shortcuts / #AppIntents but this is a lot trickier 😞 At least querying, playing and stopping meditations through media playback schema works now 😅 #iOSDev #iOS27 #Siri

Me, grocery shopping: Not buying snacks, so we only have healthy food at home. So smart💡 Me at 10pm: Okay let's see… we got butter, sugar and a frying pan to make some caramel and then throw in some almond chips and pine nuts 👨‍🍳 Past me isn't feeling so smart anymore. But it turned out delish 🤷‍♂️

Making sure everyone can use your app is a great first step, but allowing everyone to have a great time using it is the actual goal. I hope the last few weeks of accessibility polish on @daylish.bsky.social got me a couple steps closer to that goal 😊 #a11y #iOSDev #BuildInPublic

@soapboxsoftware.bsky.social we got cross-reply and cross-quote in Indigo which is amazing but I can't seem to figure out how to cross-like a post? (Bonus points if we can set that as the default action for the 🩵 button)

Probably obvious to most #iOS devs out there but when you're working on #VoiceOver, it really helps to challenge yourself to use your app with eyes closed while iterating on the UI. That'll make the VO #accessibility pain points and rough edges *very* notable!

The best part of building apps for everyday life? I get to use my own product every day 🤓 This is what my mornings look like now: laundry, deep focus, bread in the oven, daycare pickup, all in a single @daylish.bsky.social timeline! In separate apps? no chance I'd stay on top of it 😅
Screenshot of the Daylish iOS app showing today's timeline for April 23, 2026. Laundry runs from 9:25 AM to 1:40 PM (4h 15m) with a Focus Work block (9:31 to 11:35 AM, 2h 3m) nested inside it, and Oven Bread Baking (9:50 to 11:00 AM, 1h 10m) nested inside Focus Work. After a 5-minute gap, "Get ready for Daycare Pickup" runs from 11:40 to 11:50 AM, followed by a 10-minute bike journey to daycare at 11:50 AM, and Daycare Pickup itself starting at 12:00 PM. Each task shows a progress bar, with the morning block in warm peach tones and the pickup tasks in soft blue.iPhone lock screen at 10:53 on Thursday, April 23, showing the Daylish Live Activity expanded with three running timers: Laundry at 2:47:27 elapsed (9:25 AM to 1:40 PM), Focus Work at 41:39 (9:31 to 11:35 AM), and Oven Bread Baking at 6:50 (9:50 to 11:00 AM). 📣 PSA: if you're migrating from #Affinity Designer, the "Export Persona" features are now in the "Slices Studio". Was happy to find this as I need it to export layers for iOS 26 Icon Composer app icons 🤓 (Btw. you can show which "studios" should be visible and hide the Canva AI stuff altogether 😏)
