Can’t remember the last time we actually made any content opening anything 🤣

Aimee @manatithe.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

I only don’t care about the story now because war of the spark followed by aftermath that were both really off putting. It’s just been near impossible to get interested in it again when they can’t seem to stick a landing.

This kickstarter is being run by people who put out rubbish games with big names just to sell crap and move on. Would not touch this kickstarter at all.

I have Y’shtola but have left her as the precon as it’s the collector one. Haven’t played against any of the others in the top 10 in a long while.

Aimee @manatithe.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

That’s true but just checking through the lists once the set is fully spoiled and not getting anything interesting feels odd. I used to just brew lots of things each set that I never bought and not even doing that.

Have a bit a strange relationship with Magic lately as I have not found any card since Final Fantasy that has really made me want to build decks and I’m still building different commander decks around Final Fantasy cards.

Was lovely getting to jam more games with you!

Aimee @manatithe.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Honestly don’t know if I need to make that deck stronger as it already threatens winning at any point after about turn 5.

Aimee @manatithe.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

I got a Roaming Throne from a pack and tried it in 3 decks that it’s just done nothing so I have it sat in a pile of cards I’d likely sell at some point. The only time I drew it in my kindred decks it not being the type on cast was relevant for effects like folk hero and vanquishers banner.

As promised, here are my thoughts on Roaming Throne and why the card has been bugging me for a bit. To me, the card symbolizes a greater issue with modern-day Commander design (and makes games rather predictable as a result). RT's welcome! bit.ly/roaming-throne #MTGCommander

MagicCon Amsterdam is over and I’m so glad to have seen friends again and to have made several new ones. I chose to get my Quiver Bolt signed by the creators I met and the other New Perspective people at the convention too. Looks really sick and I will be using this a lot now.

There is a black lotus planechase unknown event you can get into. You’re not auto signed up for things you just rock up to the lounge and take part. What I meant is you don’t get tickets to use in normal events.

Aimee @manatithe.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

You don’t get free tickets for events and if you want to do the black lotus events you’ll miss other events.

Getting to experience the Black Lotus VIP pass for MagicCon Amsterdam has confirmed that this pass is really is not something I’d ever buy myself. I’m sure other people see a lot of value in it but so far for me it’s not worth the price.

Putting some feelers out here, but are there any UK Warhammer players who'd be interested in buying some Cadians off me? Have 30 troops, old metal Command Squad and 3 heavy weapons units.

Phial of Galadriel is the best 3 mana rock I have put in all of my decks. It’s incidental extra draw over a game really does add up and if you like to play aggressive strategies like me it puts in work. Also helps get out of those moments you’re stuck top decking, wheels also draw you an extra card.

Phial of Galadriel from MTG set Lord of the Rings

Legendary Artifact
If you would draw a card while you have no cards in hand, draw two cards instead.
If you would gain life while you have 5 or less life, you gain twice that much life instead.
{T}: Add one mana of any color

Does anyone know any art1sts that specialise in gothic-esque deep dungeon / fear & hunger style art? I guess you could throw bloodborne, elden ring & dark souls in that list too. I have a really cool idea but I would love to find the right person to collaborate with.

It took me a while but I finally have the full FCA set. Now to get a frame to put them in.

The full set of the Magic the gathering set FCA from the final fantasy universes beyond layed out in an 8x8 grid on a table.
