π-radical coupling 🤝 🧪 ⚛️ Now in @jacs.acspublications.org, we shed light on selective C-C coupling reactions mediated by π-radicals without requiring surface catalytic contributions 🔬 👨‍💻 @maleminore.bsky.social @fzuavcr.bsky.social @uniheidelberg.bsky.social 🔗 doi.org/10.1021/jacs.5c12864

📣 Complex spin texture in a 2D MOF on-surface ⬆️ ⬇️ Now in @jacs.acspublications.org, we enhance magnetic functionality of MOFs by demonstrating strong π–d coupling between radical ligands and Co atoms 🧲 ⚛️ 🧪 @maleminore.bsky.social @fzuavcr.bsky.social @um.es 🔗 pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10....

📢 Bringing to light a new surface reaction💡 We imaged a stable, surface-supported nitrene synthesized through azide photolysis on Au(111) ⚡ with @grilllab.bsky.social Read more on @angewandtechemie.bsky.social 🔗 onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....
we report the formation of a stable, surface-supported dinitrene achieved through the photolysis of a diazide precursor on an Au(111) metal substrate. We combine high-resolution scanning probe techniques with theoretical calculations, providing the first real-space imaging of a metal nitrene adsorbed on a surface and exploring the associated photoreaction mechanism.
