I didn’t have „Nathan Fielder releases a documentary about Elizabeth Holmes” on my 2026 bingo card but I’m not complaining. They both have similar experience in business so it makes perfect sense.

🥳 (also imagine your country hating your sexual identity so much that they are willing to spend time and money to almost endlessly argue about it in courts) but still 🥳
Nov 25 (Reuters) - The EU's highest court ruled on Tuesday that same-sex marriages must be respected throughout the bloc and rebuked Poland for refusing to recognise a marriage between two of its citizens that took place in Germany.

The court said Poland had been wrong in not recognising the marriage of the couple when they moved back to Poland, on the grounds that Polish law does not allow marriage between people of the same sex.

"It infringes not only the freedom to move and reside, but also the fundamental right to respect for private and family life," the court said.

It’s widely known (and, I think, pretty uncontroversial) that learning requires effort — specifically, if you don’t have to work at getting the knowledge, it won’t stick. Even if an LLM could be trusted to give you correct information 100% of the time, it would be an inferior method of learning it.

Massive shoutout out to whoever handles the Royal Canadian Air Force’s social media account. They responded to every single comment on their already very solid Trans Day of Remembrance post and they responded like this…
A screenshot of a Facebook post where a person named Andy ask the Well now “What the hell is transgender?”
The Royal Canadian Air Force account response with “That’s a pretty big question asked in a pretty small way, Andy.

‘Transgender’ putting describes someone whose gender – who they know themselves to be – doesn’t match the sex they were assigned at birth. It’s not new, and it’s certainly not a fad. People have lived this experience for as long as people have existed; we’re just finally talking about it openly.

You don’t have to fully understand it right away, most learning takes time, but we can always start from a place of respect. That’s how decent folks handle things they’re still getting used to.”

My favourite Polish fact. On the first day of spring kids skip school (sometimes even in a “sanctioned” way) to build a straw impersonation of winter, set it on fire and throw it into a river. Of course the older you get the more exciting reasons you have to skip school ;)

Nerdy personal news: tomorrow I will visit the 50th country in my life. It’s a silly statistic but ever since I can remember I just wanted to travel. When I was little I went on long walks just to make it to the next town over so that it would count as “travelling”. Little me would be so proud!

If you’re a true sicko, check out the related article “How Bloomberg News Vetted the Epstein Emails” with all the sicko details: www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...
While it's possible to modify header data, our analysis found no anachronistic methods of verification were used. In spot checks, provider-specific header formats matched their providers' practices at the time. It would be difficult to generate such a large body of documents containing such consistent metadata and content spanning two decades.
Whenever emails included cryptographic "DomainKeys
Identified Mail" signatures, or DKIM, in their headers, we used Python's dkimpy library to verify that signatures matched their messages. A valid signature match is strong evidence that the message is genuine and unaltered, but a failed DKIM check is not, by itself, evidence of fabrication. Our analysis of emails from the years when DKIM was widely seen in the inbox (2013-2022) validated roughly 45% of the messages, rising from about 20% in 2013 to nearly two-thirds by 2020 as DKIM adoption broadened. For these messages we also checked DKIM-based DMARC identifier alignment-whether the DKIM d= domain aligned with the visible "From:" domain— and 55% of messages were aligned. We manually inspected the emails that weren't aligned and found all matched to known mailing list providers and other similar services.
