The Associated Press in August identified at least 50 cases in which close family of active-duty service members were arrested by ICE. What’s different about Perez’s case is that U.S. military personnel appeared to be working with ICE to identify a potential target and use a long-standing military-recruitment tool—the promise of legal status for loved ones—to facilitate an arrest.

Just so you understand the scale of betrayal: first, our "partners" didn't warn Ukraine about the incoming ballistic missiles, so the air raid alert wasn't activated before impact, robbing people of their chance to survive. Then, Starlink was restricted to stop working at speeds above 100 mph.

Ukrainian presidential advisor Serhiy Beskrestnov confirms Elon Musk's Space X crippled Ukrainian capabilities last night. In other words, the US deliberately sabotaged European defence operations mid-mission. Every country in the world should move away from buying American hardware ASAP.
"I can confirm that tonight SpaceX has implemented a speed limit on Starlink terminals while in motion.

The limit currently applies to the StarShield “military package” and is set at 100 mph.

Our defense forces were not given notice of this limit, and this has resulted in the disruption of a number of missions.

It is clear that this action cannot be a coincidence and is related to the current political situation."

I try to teach my students that primary sources allow them to make new discoveries and offer new historical interpretations. Al chatbots present a problem for the teaching of history not only because they hallucinate, nor simply because they threaten to make even conscientious students' writing less original, but because they thwart the process that might lead students toward original interpretations in the first place. No matter how you refine your questions, the chatbot will generate responses reflecting what the greatest number of users are likely to want to hear, which tends to be close to what they think they already know.

The ADL updated its “Mamdani Monitor” with Mayor Mamdani’s October 7th anniversary statement. They criticize him for not mentioning Jews, but omit the entire opening paragraph which condemns Hamas’ attack, acknowledged the Israelis killed and abducted, and expressed solidarity with those grieving.
ADL’s Mamdani Monitor about the mayor’s statement on the 3rd anniversary of October 7.

Oct 7, 2026
Zohran Mamdani

“The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes.

Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment.

To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.”
Mayor Mamdani posted this statement on X on the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre.

CONTEXT

While briefly acknowledging the “horrific war crimes of October 7,” the mayor devoted the bulk of his statement to continue his campaign against the only Jewish state, accusing Israel of genocide and declaring that New Yorkers’ tax dollars fund war crimes. The statement made no direct reference to Jews on the third anniversary of the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.Screenshot of the Mayor of NYC’s website showing his statement on the 3rd anniversary of October 7:

Statement From Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani on the Third Anniversary of October 7

NEW YORK – Today, Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani released the following statement on the third anniversary of the October 7 attacks:

This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss.

The suffering did not begin nor end that day. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them—all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes.

Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment.

To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.
