My wife made me breakfast for Father's Day. Doubly impressive because she hates Bloody Marys and couldn't even taste it to see if it was good. It's perfect! I also got this great t-shirt from the kids that sums up my summers.

As a tech lead, I thought I would spend 40 hours a week enabling my teams to work more efficiently. The reality is I spend 20h a week in planning & sync-ups & sharing the results. 10h researching & reporting root causes, 10h organizing tasks & notes, and another 10h coordinating deployments.

I don't hate AI, but I come to social media for the voice of the creator. I don't want an AI voice reading an AI script regurgitating trivia written in the style of clickbait. I had to bail on a YouTube video earlier when I realized there was no creator's voice. AI cannot replace humans.

This is a good thread. I don't fully agree, but I think it's worth reading and giving dinner thought to. I find myself in the middle, arguing both with the "AI is the future" crowd and the "AI is killing the future" crowd. AI is a good tool when the marginal cost of failure is zero. Replacing 🧵

No, they can't program that. In fact, LLMs aren't actually programmed at all — they are trained. They also can't be made to be truthful or admit when they don't know something for the same reason. They actually have no idea what they are asked or even what their answer even means.

Just caught the #FantasticFour. It was a good time. All the reviews led me to expect something underwhelming, but I was fairly whelmed. It had heart. If anything, I might've liked it to have some more character moments because I didn't feel like I really got to know Ben or Johnny, but I enjoyed it.
