“Seperate the art from the artist” has always been a nonsense concept even beyond the financial support aspect because you literally. Cannot. The art IS the artist. Their brain, their body, their life, it makes the art. When we create, we put ourself into our creations. There is no separating that.

If it helps at all I love my AMD card, I have so far had none of the issues I ever had with nvidia cards. The only issue I have ever had was one game that was poorly optimized for AMD. It also runs beautifully and is so easy to tune, I changed the fan curve and slightly overclocked/undervolted it.

It has invaded literally everything it makes me so annoyed. I’m going to need a new phone case soon and I was trying to look for cute ones on etsy, when I got my current one years ago you could easily find a bunch of options with creative art made by the sellers themselves, now it’s just all genAI.

Emailed a dev asking if they used any generative AI in their game, they told me they don’t use any and are anti gen-ai, so I bought and played and positively reviewed their game. Just to find out they DID use genAI for translations and didn’t report it to steam. It’s exhausting out here dude

If you feel even SLIGHTLY tempted, block accounts like Kalshi, Polymarket, Draftkings, Fanduel, etc. They are putting out more and more ads and pushing to wider markets. Kalshi is currently trying to appeal to women by offering things like betting on Love Island couples. Don’t do it.

I’m genuinely begging people to not get into betting markets. No sports betting, no Kalshi predictions, ideally not even Gacha games. I cannot stress enough how addicting gambling is. It’s so downplayed because it’s not a drug addiction, but it still literally rewires your brain. Don’t fall for it.

This is one of my favorite games in the world, and will probably be my hardest boycott so far. CDPR uses generative AI, they say right now that it’s only in “productivity areas” but their reasons for not using AI art are all about logistics and legality, not morals. I can’t give them my money.
