Fed’s preferred gauge showed core inflation at 3.0% in August, less than expected But… they adjusted their method of calculating the data. So does anyone trust the Trump administration’s numbers? You know he pressures people to give him what he wants.

Stocks had a great day on the surface. But something alarming occurred. There are a few stocks that are up while many others are not. The last time stocks advanced at least 1% to within 1% of a new 52-week high as new lows outnumbered new highs was Dec 1999, a few months before the Dotcom Bubble!
