The main works area around Hackney Town Hall is now at Wilton Way.
Bollards have been removed from the modal filter. Motorists can only drive westbound here (i.e. towards the camera).

This indicates that it's TfL (not LBHF) that will do the work here. Previously mentioned start date of approx Feb '27 is possibly dependent on the workforce being finished with the main works for the C4 extension to Woolwich on time... which does look likely.

Misleading headline, thanks to the staggered borough boundary on the road at the E end: "Kensington High St to get protected cycle track" The date on the drawings could be 17th Feb (unusual)... but definitely not from 2017, as this was well before the Cycleways rebrand. Pic 3 = C9 + C34 markings.
Dashed line is the borough boundaryDrawings for future C9, showing C34 markings where it will turn northbound onto Bute Gardens and southbound from Wolverton Gardens

Looks like the routes in pics 1 + 2 could be used as southbound diversions, apart from when Clement's Lane get closed for the resurfacing in late Jan.

Oh joy! 🙄 King William St southbound contra flow cycle lane to be removed from Saturday 24 Oct due to next stage of footway works starting. Until the final road resurfacing takes place in late Jan 2027, there will be a southbound diversion in place via Cornhill and Gracechurch St..
Construction works at 10 King William St with scaffolding at street level and new concrete core and red crane above. The northbound traffic lane is closed for works access.

The Council has posted a page with its plans for the #Greenway diversion via Plaistow Road, along with a timetable: starting the southern section early next year, finishing by Autumn. We support this scheme & want it to be accelerated wherever possible. newhamco-create.co.uk/en/projects/...
Diagram showing a redesign of Plaistow Road in Newham, with a 2-way cycleway on the north side. The footways and cycleways are continuous with Dutch entry kerbs over the junctions of Church Street, Stephens Road, and Plaistow Grove. A new straight-across parallel zebra and cycle crossing just east of Stephens Road makes it possible to cross Plaistow Road. The junction mouth of Church Street is narrowed significantly. A traffic island in the centre of the road is removed. On the north side, the cycleway runs behind a bus stop, with the boarding island reachable by a zebra crossing.

I think an additional pedestrian crossing at the black line would be welcome here, possibly even a toucan crossing so westbound C2 cyclists could get across to the Farthingale Walk route. Red line is the convoluted route for🚶along High St. Many🚶join the 🚲 crossing instead just to simplify things.
