apparently the new mastodon redesign is going to make things rounder, "to invite a friendlier brand tone" (what), and "to make Mastodon feel more native within modern browsers (most of which have adopted a rounded aesthetic)." Fuck the rounded aesthetic.

Gmail shipped their AI-powered to-do lists in my work e-mail (without giving me the option to opt out) and it’s telling me to do things for people who do not exist and whose names simply appear in titles or scripts of movies I work on, e.g. “Please respond to Jerry Maguire about the locked cut ETAs”

I am absolutely on the "power reveals" side of the fence rather than the "power corrupts" side. Both as in a person's character, and showing a character's skeleton in cartoons when they're hit with electricity.
