My day today: 90 minutes to an hour aikido class. (Stopped at Kiddo's SLA home to renew her phone $.) 90 minutes home. 10 to Pik-A-Part. 20 to find a junked Camry, pry up the lid, pull the right rear light assembly. 15 home (after paying $33.) 25 to replace. Relaxo time. (They're $50 on eBay)

Friends in the Smoke Zone: I lived through the CA 2020 fire season downwind in NV, AQI's in the 300-500 range. I have asthma. Get a cheap box fan for each room, and smoke rated furnace filters. Tape filters to back of fans. Run on high. (Only in the windows if you don't have AC) It helps a LOT.

Thank goodness for openlibrary.org giving me not only a title I never read, but a quote I need in the next couple weeks. Shifted from a clear fluid fast to mostly carnivore; I used to do this on the farm when knee or back parts hurt. Work has challenges. Training & AQI are challenging the physical.

There's a side effect of the antibiotic Cefdinir that isn't on the insert list. Flatulence. Fortunately today is the last. Asthma seems to have tapered off, 5 day Steroid pack didn't turn me into a raving bitch. Got a new in box nebulizer cheap off local marketplace, goo supply scrip if needed.

Just getting to the bench for the first time in months was a thing Cut and replaced lost stone in coworker's cross. It's not valuable per se but it was a gift. I made sure to notch the back of the stone so the glue holds it in place. Pendant: stabilized mammoth ivory and turquoise in sterling.

Nearly a half gallon, ageing for winter use. Malenas, my mother's mother's cold and flu syrup. I upgraded it by using an infusion of chamomile and feverfew in the vodka that gets added to the brandied raspberries. Shot glass in hot tea. Don't operate heavy machinery after.

All the opening up about antisemitism continues to reinforce my decision last year to get serious about the Second Amendment and my range time. Not my best practice day - I need more long afternoons at the range - but that'll have to wait 'til after tax season. Couple boxes of 9mm then off to work.

Well, the infection that caused last weekend's vertigo has decided it is tired of the indoor life. It feels like it is trying to escape through my right eardrum. FYI I took exactly two doses of the meclizine, one Sunday, one Monday. It felt like it neatly shaved 15 IQ points off the top.
