Thank goodness for openlibrary.org giving me not only a title I never read, but a quote I need in the next couple weeks. Shifted from a clear fluid fast to mostly carnivore; I used to do this on the farm when knee or back parts hurt. Work has challenges. Training & AQI are challenging the physical.

This year at Mohave Pride, the interest in @pinkpistols.bsky.social and Operation Blazing Sword was through the roof. Had to print more pamphlets Sunday morning. Mitch, my FFL, gave me a bunch of additional stuff & stickers for the display. Might be sucked into starting a PP chapter in Kingman.

Makabet Designs Booth at the Mohave Pride Fest. I spent the day working on a couple copper and a couple bronze pendants for the budget minded, givien the price of silver. All I sold yesterday was silver. :) Will be working on a silver pendant today, then more copper cuffs.

Just getting to the bench for the first time in months was a thing Cut and replaced lost stone in coworker's cross. It's not valuable per se but it was a gift. I made sure to notch the back of the stone so the glue holds it in place. Pendant: stabilized mammoth ivory and turquoise in sterling.

It's Crazy Time Saturday. Yoga in Kingman, followed by Aikido in Henderson. Then stopping at a burger joint for a treat for my brother's dog Harley, goodbye to her on Monday. She's a shepherd-dane, would play tug of war even with a potato (here w/fur&legs) and has bone cancer into her lungs.

In north-central Nevada, wrapped around US95 like a tangled hair on carpet thread, is the half-dead town of Mina. On 95, in Mina, is this awesome little tiny Mexican walk-up joint. All their food is good, and their Birria is worth the drive. Plus the guy gave me a couple extra tortillas for Mars.

All the opening up about antisemitism continues to reinforce my decision last year to get serious about the Second Amendment and my range time. Not my best practice day - I need more long afternoons at the range - but that'll have to wait 'til after tax season. Couple boxes of 9mm then off to work.

Farther target. Chopped the pencil in half but could not quite get the eraser. Nice to know at least I can hit a torso-sized target.

Was thinking about adding bronze to my pressure clasp cuffs. I have copper ($15) and silver/gold ($250 now with silver price up) and think a middle option is a good plan. Office needs will be crazy this year between recovering from <muttered imprecations> manager leaving, and expanding locations.

It was a good market this weekend. Along with copper pressure clasp cuffs custom for clients, I made these three lovely bits of silver work. Unakite ring, size 9ish, K2 (granite/Azurite from K2 in the Himalayas) pendant, Unakite pendant. Next weekend I'll be making more stuff in Wickenburg.

My bottle of Abasolo is almost empty. Took about a year - I drink whisky in very small amounts and only when I have the focus and space to cherish the flavor. Lovely textured square bottles. My last one has an herbal raspberry brandy: Malenas, a family recipe cold cure. What goes in this one next?

I have been so wrapped up with office stuff I forgot how much fun a two day show can be. People get to watch me make pieces from sheet and wire to finished piece, I love explaining the process. My eyelids are sunburned, dry air sun and wind have me growing a cold sore on a lip, and I feel happy.

Hardware cleaned and ready. Off to the range, then office time. I have a lot to do at my desk, getting a client's books cleaned up. Nowadays the books are bits not atoms, which speeds things up, but it's amazing how much faster and wider errors can propagate in an accounting database.

Workday today. Accounting would be fun if it wasn't for the clients. Still feeling snotty and "off" so instead of BJJ this morning, and since I have first market of Autumn tomorrow, will be going to the Range for practice before work. Last week's shooting showed my missed two weeks of practice.

Two targets side by side, and the scatter of shots showed my missed two weeks of practice. Pencils taped to the target gives me better visual feedback than just paper.

Similar sights, stronger sharper recoil, and I am shooting one big fat grouped hole instead of kinda near the pencil? I think it's partly the fatter grip (double-stack) so I'm forced into a better grip. Don't get it but I'm Very Happy. Also while cleaning up my bay I found the eraser.

I don't much like basic paper targets, when I started on my own my preferred target was a pencil in a can of sand. At the range, I use paper targets, and tape a pencil on. And so, the scattery holes being with my other two, notice the difference. 1st 50' 2nd 15'

She filled in the space between the scarab's wings, added yellow to the stars, and touched up the red sun with darker red outline; goal to keep the Van Gogh inspired Starry Night sky. Amanda at Ink M Up in Kingman, AZ. She loves doing art-inspired work, and wishes people wanted more of those.
